PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Local Falun Gong practitioners held a rally in Philadelphia Chinatown on Oct. 15, 2023, to celebrate the more than 420 million Chinese people who have bravely quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. During the rally, 35 Chinese individuals chose to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. State Senator Sharif Street addressed the crowd, condemning the practice of forced organ harvesting as “repugnant” and calling for an end to the undemocratic regime.

Mr. Street emphasized the importance of embracing democracy and moving away from autocracies. He expressed his support for Falun Gong and his opposition to the killing of people for their organs.
As a poet, Euraina Jerry was deeply moved by the testimony of Ms. Tian, who narrowly escaped death and forced organ harvesting in China. Ms. Jerry expressed her appreciation for Falun Gong practitioners’ efforts to expose the truth and pledged to use poetry to shed light on the crimes of the CCP.

Another supporter, Daniel Maher, commended the rally and expressed his love for the Chinese people. As a retired SEPTA worker, he recognized Falun Gong as a peaceful and noble practice that does no harm. He condemned the CCP’s practice of forced organ harvesting as demonic and barbaric, calling for the regime’s abolition.
