Homeless man apprehended for assaulting woman in Long Beach.
Man Arrested for Assaulting Woman on Long Beach Sidewalk
A shocking incident took place in Long Beach, Calif., where a man was caught on security video assaulting a woman on a busy sidewalk. The victim, Rebekah Pederson, described the attack as “absolutely disgusting” in an interview with Fox11.
The security footage shows the victim walking in a dark dress, passing by a man sitting on the sidewalk. Suddenly, the man stands up and starts following her. He then grabs and lifts her dress, causing her to fall to the ground. Fortunately, a brave witness nearby intervened, but the suspect managed to escape before the police arrived.
“When I turned around, I did notice he started picking up his pants,” Ms. Pedersen said. “If it wasn’t in broad daylight, and that [good Samaritan] was sitting there, [the suspect] would have raped me.”
The authorities later apprehended the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Miguel Avila, who was homeless at the time. Avila is now facing potential charges, including sexual battery. According to jail records, he has been booked on suspicion of a felony and remains in custody.

There are many possible causes for a person to have a headache, including:
1. Tension or stress: This is the most common type of headache and typically occurs due to muscle tension in the neck and scalp.
2. Migraine: Migraines are severe headaches that often occur with other symptoms such as sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and blurred vision.
3. Sinusitis: Sinusitis is an inflammation or infection of the sinuses, which can cause a headache to develop.
4. Cluster headaches: Cluster headaches are severe headaches that occur in cycles or patterns. They are usually characterized by intense pain around one eye.
5. Medication overuse: Overuse of pain medication, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, can lead to a rebound headache when the medication wears off.
6. Dehydration: Not drinking enough water can cause dehydration, which can lead to headaches.
7. Hormonal changes: Hormonal changes, such as those that occur during menstruation or menopause, can trigger headaches in some individuals.
8. Eye strain: Spending too much time looking at a computer screen or other digital devices can strain the eyes and cause headaches.
9. Dental issues: Dental problems, such as teeth grinding or an improper bite, can contribute to headaches.
10. High blood pressure: Hypertension, or high blood pressure, can sometimes cause headaches, particularly if it is severe or sudden.
It’s important to note that these are just a few examples, and there are many other potential causes of headaches. If you are experiencing frequent or severe headaches, it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
