Biden Admin Embraces Illegal Migrants via CBP One App

The Biden Administration’s Controversial Immigration App

The Biden administration has opened⁢ the floodgates for migrants entering the country with ‌the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) One App.

In a bold move, ⁤the White House announced in January that illegal migrants from central and northern Mexico could ‌enter the country⁤ as‍ long as they made an⁣ appointment with⁤ CBP⁣ on the mobile app. The⁢ intention was to streamline the process and ensure safe and orderly immigration. However, this strategy⁢ has been exploited by ⁢cartels, allowing thousands of otherwise inadmissible ‍migrants to enter the ⁢United States.

According⁤ to the Washington Examiner, Central American cartels ⁣have found a way to manipulate the app ‌using virtual private networks (VPN) to⁤ smuggle people across‍ the border.⁤ By concealing their true ⁤location, migrants⁢ can schedule appointments ‍even if ⁤they are far‍ from northern⁢ Mexico.

This exploitation of the app has led to ⁣a significant increase in border encounters by ⁤U.S.⁢ authorities.⁢ Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee have ⁢revealed ⁣shocking numbers, showing that the vast majority⁤ of migrants who scheduled appointments through the app were ultimately released into the United‍ States. Among those released are individuals‌ from Venezuela, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus,‍ Afghanistan, China, and Iran.

House Homeland ⁢Security ⁤Chairman Mark Green has criticized Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for abusing the CBP⁢ One app, stating that it has become a smokescreen for mass releases of⁤ individuals into⁤ the country without proper vetting.

“These numbers are proof that Mayorkas’ operation is a smokescreen for the mass release of individuals into this country who would otherwise have⁣ zero⁢ claim to be admitted.⁤ At ⁢a time when global tensions are rising, and our enemies are growing bolder, releasing tens of thousands of these people into our‌ communities—especially when they have not received adequate,‌ if any, vetting—is irresponsible.”

Furthermore, the CBP has warned⁣ about the potential for radical Islamic terrorists to ⁤exploit the open border. A‍ memo from‍ the San Diego Field Office’s‌ Intelligence ‍Unit reported⁣ by Fox News highlighted the⁤ risk of terrorists‍ using the Southwest border as a transit route.

An intelligence assessment‍ from ⁣the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) also emphasized the potential for terrorists to take advantage of the increased flow of migrants and the complex security environment‌ to enter the United States.

Recent immigration numbers from DHS have⁢ revealed⁢ record-breaking figures, with a surge in⁤ migrants ⁢crossing the border last month. Alarmingly, September saw the highest number of individuals on the terror watch list entering the country. CBP data⁤ shows that 169 non-U.S.⁢ citizens on the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database were apprehended along the southern border, and⁤ a ⁣record number of potential terrorists were ‍recorded at ports of entry in⁢ fiscal year 2023.

What steps will the Biden Administration take to address the ⁢issues and vulnerabilities revealed by the exploitation of the ⁣CBP One app, and how will they ⁢ensure the implementation of secure and effective technological solutions for immigration processes

The Biden Administration’s controversial immigration app, the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) ‌One ⁣App, has sparked intense debate and raised concerns about the border security of the United States.

In January, the‍ White House announced that illegal migrants from ⁢central and northern Mexico could enter the country as long as ‍they made an appointment‌ with CBP on the mobile app. The ⁢intention behind ‌this move‍ was ‍to streamline the⁣ immigration process and ensure that it was safe and orderly. However, this strategy has been exploited by‍ cartels, allowing ⁣thousands of⁣ otherwise inadmissible migrants to enter the‌ United ⁢States.

According to reports from the Washington Examiner, Central American cartels have found a way ⁤to manipulate the app using virtual private networks (VPN), which enables them to smuggle people across the border. By concealing ‍their true location, migrants can ⁢schedule appointments even if they are far from northern Mexico.

This exploitation of the app has had a significant impact on border encounters by U.S. authorities. Republicans on the House Homeland ⁢Security Committee have revealed shocking numbers, indicating that the vast majority of migrants who scheduled appointments through the app were ultimately released into the United States. Among those released are individuals from Venezuela, Russia, ⁢Uzbekistan, Belarus, Afghanistan,⁢ China, ⁣and Iran.

The alarming statistics have led to‌ criticism ‌from House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green, who accused Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of abusing the CBP One‍ app. Green argues that the app has become a smokescreen for the mass release of individuals into the country without‍ proper vetting.

In a statement, Chairman Green said, “These numbers are proof that Mayorkas’ operation is ‍a smokescreen⁣ for the mass release of individuals into this country who would otherwise have zero claim to ⁣be admitted. At a time when global⁢ tensions are rising, and our enemies are growing bolder, releasing tens of thousands of these people into our communities—especially when they have not received adequate, if any, vetting—is irresponsible.”

The controversy surrounding the Biden Administration’s immigration app raises concerns about border⁤ security and the‍ potential⁢ risks associated ⁣with a system that can be manipulated by criminal organizations. ⁣As the Biden ⁣Administration seeks to ⁤address immigration challenges, it is crucial to ensure that any technological solutions are secure, effective, and do not undermine national security.

In the weeks and months ahead, the Biden Administration will need to reevaluate the CBP One app⁣ and take necessary measures to address the vulnerabilities that have been exposed. Border security is a‍ critical issue that requires‍ thoughtful and comprehensive solutions, and⁢ it is essential to strike a balance between compassion and the protection of national interests.
