DOJ confirms info from FBI source on Biden bribery claims: Official.

DOJ Officials Corroborate Allegations of Bribery ‌Involving Joe and Hunter Biden

In a recent testimony, ‍former U.S. attorney Scott Brady revealed that the U.S. ⁤Department of Justice ⁣(DOJ) confirmed ‍some of the‌ information provided by an FBI ⁤source regarding allegations ⁢of bribery against then-presidential candidate Joe Biden and ‌his son, Hunter Biden.

Brady stated, “We did corroborate certain⁢ things” from the source‌ during⁣ his appearance before ⁤a U.S. House of Representatives panel on ⁣Oct. 23.

During the summer, members of Congress obtained and released⁣ a copy of the FBI interview summary with the source, which included comments from Burisma⁤ executives⁤ regarding the Bidens.

One⁤ of the allegations included the claim that $5 million was paid ‌to each Biden.

During his‌ time at Burisma, a Ukrainian ⁣firm, Hunter Biden was allegedly involved in bribery discussions in ⁤2016, as reported‌ by the FBI source in 2020.

Brady, who was appointed ⁣by President Donald⁢ Trump in 2017,⁢ explained that his team was responsible⁤ for assessing and verifying Ukraine-related information received by the⁢ DOJ and FBI.

Brady stated, “We provided the summary and our findings to ⁤various offices, including⁤ the U.S. ⁣attorney’s office ‌for the District of Delaware.”

The District of Delaware, led by U.S. Attorney David Weiss, was briefed by Brady’s team in October 2020 regarding the summary, known‌ as an FD-1023.

According to Brady, ‌they informed Weiss’ team that the ⁢FD-1023 had enough⁤ credibility to warrant further investigation.

However, there ⁤was limited ‍communication and no information sharing ‌from Weiss’ office or other U.S. attorney’s offices that received the document.

Brady‍ expressed his team’s frustration, stating, “At one point, the communication between⁢ our offices was so constricted that we had to provide written questions‍ to the investigative team in Delaware and receive written answers back.”

Brady emphasized⁣ that this lack of communication was abnormal.

When asked about the situation, Weiss’ office declined to comment.

Lack of Communication

Brady ⁤revealed that after corroborating some information, his team shared their ‍findings with multiple‌ offices, including‌ the ‌U.S. attorney’s office for the District of Delaware.

Meanwhile, the FBI ⁤re-interviewed the source in⁤ 2020 at Brady’s‍ request to gather more details about the allegations involving‍ the Bidens. The resulting summary was later obtained and⁣ released by Sen. Chuck Grassley and Rep. James Comer.

The summary revealed that the source ‍had traveled to Ukraine and ⁣spoke‌ with‌ top Burisma executives, who allegedly stated that they hired Hunter Biden to protect the company through his father’s⁤ influence.

President Biden, during a public event in 2018, recounted⁤ how he threatened to withhold‍ a‌ $1 billion ‌loan guarantee unless the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma was fired.⁢ The prosecutor‌ was subsequently ousted.

The FBI has refrained⁢ from commenting on the ⁢document’s content, citing its involvement in a sensitive investigation. However, ‌the transcripts ‍of recent congressional interviews with Brady and U.S. Attorney E. Martin Estrada confirm the existence of the document.

In his interview, Estrada supported IRS whistleblower accounts and⁤ revealed that he declined Weiss’ request to partner in‍ prosecuting Biden in California.

Estrada also stated that ⁣he believed attorneys from Weiss’ ⁣office could bring charges in his district, the Central District of California,‌ and offered support if they did.

Biden was eventually charged with ‌tax and ⁣firearm crimes in Delaware, but no charges were filed in California or Washington, where Weiss also sought partnership.

Weiss ‍was recently appointed as special counsel to continue the investigation into Biden,⁢ a decision that has ⁤raised questions about the⁢ need for‌ this additional role.

Mark Tapscott contributed to this report.

Why is it crucial ⁢for different⁢ offices‍ within the DOJ to share information and work ‍together in investigations?

/h2>

The lack of‌ communication between Brady’s team and ⁢Weiss’ office raises concerns about the ‍transparency and collaboration within the Department of Justice. It is⁣ crucial for different offices ‌within the⁣ DOJ⁢ to share information and work together to ensure a thorough and comprehensive ⁢investigation.

The allegations ‌of bribery involving Joe and ⁣Hunter Biden are ‍serious and demand a thorough investigation to determine the truth.⁤ The American public ‌deserves to know if there is any wrongdoing by the then-presidential candidate⁣ and his ⁣son.

The involvement of Hunter Biden with Burisma, a Ukrainian‍ firm, raises questions about the potential influence and conflicts of interest. If ⁢bribery discussions did occur in 2016, it is important ‍to ascertain ‍the extent of Hunter Biden’s involvement and whether any illegal⁤ activities took
