Terrorism suspect apprehended near One World Trade Center shortly after being allowed into the US by Biden’s DHS.
Foreign National Terrorism Suspect Arrested Near One World Trade Center After Being Released by Border Authorities
Last month, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made a startling announcement in a news release. They had apprehended a foreign national terrorism suspect who had been released by border authorities just two weeks earlier.
The individual, described as an “unlawfully present Mauritanian or Senegalese citizen,” was taken into custody in New York City on October 17, after being processed and released near the southern border on October 3.
According to reports, Border Patrol agents initially encountered the 29-year-old illegal immigrant in Arizona and served him with a Notice to Appear in New York. However, it was later discovered that he was wanted by Senegal on terrorism charges.
Despite this information, the Biden administration released him, only for him to be apprehended again by ICE’s New York City Fugitive Operations without incident.
A Disturbing Pattern
This incident raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of border security measures. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) claims to have robust screening and vetting processes in place to identify potential threats to national security. However, cases like this suggest that there are significant gaps in the system.
According to Breitbart, since President Joe Biden took office, approximately 2.5 million illegal immigrants have been released into U.S. cities by DHS. Additionally, Border Patrol agents have taken into custody nearly 150 individuals on the FBI’s Terrorism Watchlist, and over 61,000 “Special Interest Aliens” have been released into the country.
Special Interest Aliens are individuals with suspicious travel patterns who may pose a national security risk, according to the DHS.
Ensuring National Security
It is crucial that the United States takes immediate action to address these alarming security breaches. The safety of American citizens and residents should be the top priority.
ICE’s mission is to protect the homeland by enforcing immigration laws and removing individuals who undermine the safety of U.S. communities. However, it is clear that more needs to be done to prevent the release of individuals who pose a potential threat.
The public can play a role in reporting crime and suspicious activity by contacting the appropriate authorities.
Together, we must ensure that our immigration system is robust and effective in safeguarding our nation from those who seek to exploit it.
A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:
I walked into the office one morning and noticed something strange. Half of The Western Journal’s readership was missing.
It had finally happened. Facebook had flipped THE switch.
Maybe it was because we wrote about ivermectin. Or election integrity. Or the Jan. 6 detainees. Or ballot mules.
Whatever the reason, I immediately knew what to do. We had to turn to you because, frankly, we know you are the only ones we can trust.
Can you help? Every donation to The Western Journal goes directly to funding our team of story researchers, writers, and editors who doggedly pursue the truth and expose the corrupt elites.
Can I count on you for a small donation? We operate on a shoestring compared to other news media companies, so I can personally promise that not a penny of your donation will be wasted.
We will use every single cent to fight against the lies and corruption in high places. And as long as we have your help, we will never give up.

How can robust screening and vetting processes at the border contribute to the identification and apprehension of individuals who may pose a threat to national security?
Secure and effective, and that individuals who may pose a threat to national security are identified and apprehended. This requires a comprehensive approach that includes robust screening and vetting processes at the border, effective coordination between agencies, and swift action to address any security breaches that may occur.
The incident involving the foreign national terrorism suspect highlights the need for greater scrutiny and accountability in the immigration system. It is essential that individuals who are wanted for terrorism charges or have a history of suspicious activity are not released into the country without proper investigation and assessment of the risks they may pose.
Furthermore, the release of 2.5 million illegal immigrants into U.S. cities since President Biden took office is deeply concerning. This not only undermines the integrity of the immigration system, but also poses a potential threat to the safety and security of American communities. It is imperative that DHS takes immediate action to address this issue and prevent further releases of individuals with questionable backgrounds or potential national security risks.
In addition to strengthening border security measures, it is essential to enhance information sharing and collaboration between agencies responsible for immigration and national security. This includes improved communication and coordination between Border Patrol, ICE, FBI, and other relevant entities. By sharing intelligence and working together seamlessly, we can ensure a more effective and efficient response to potential threats.
Furthermore, public engagement is crucial in maintaining the security of our nation. The public plays a vital role in reporting any suspicious activity or individuals who may be a threat to national security. It is important that individuals are aware of the proper channels for reporting such incidents and are encouraged to come forward with any relevant information.
In conclusion, the arrest of the foreign national terrorism suspect near One World Trade Center after being released by border authorities highlights the need for stronger border security measures and improved coordination between agencies. The release of individuals with potential national security risks into U.S. cities is unacceptable and poses a significant threat to the safety of American citizens and residents. It is imperative that immediate action is taken to address these security breaches and ensure the integrity and effectiveness of our immigration system. Together, we can work towards a safer and more secure nation for all.
