Gunman at Large After Shooting Outside Erewhon Market
LOS ANGELES—In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old man was shot in the leg outside the popular Erewhon Market in the Fairfax District. The suspect, who fled the scene in a Lamborghini SUV, is still on the loose.
According to Officer Drake Madison, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the shooting took place on November 1 around 5:15 p.m. near The Grove shopping center on Beverly Blvd.
Surveillance footage reveals a heated confrontation between the victim and a man with dreadlocks inside a garage. The victim then approached the Lamborghini and engaged in a verbal exchange with one of the passengers.
As the argument escalated, the two men and the Lamborghini passenger exited the garage. The man with dreadlocks proceeded to shoot the victim, who collapsed on the sidewalk.
The injured victim managed to drive himself to a nearby hospital, where he is currently in stable condition, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
The LAPD described the shooting suspect as approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a white shirt and black pants. The weapon used was a handgun, and the license plate of the getaway vehicle was reported as 8WWS816.
Officer Madison stated that the incident does not seem to be gang-related.
