“Democrats have momentum. Virginians will be voting to protect women’s rights, fund public education, and address the kitchen table needs of working families,” Pelosi also said in the video.
Lucas added in the video posted to Pelosi’s social media, “Tell [Gov.] Glenn Youngkin [R-VA] and Donald Trump to stay the hell out of your doctor’s office.”
Sears pushed back with her own social media message directed at Pelosi and Lucas.
“Why don’t you take care of your own backyard before you start talking about us, Nancy Pelosi?” Sears said in reaction on Monday.
Sears added, “You got enough problems of your own. Handle that first and maybe we’ll listen to you.”
In an interview on WMAL, Sears suggested where Pelosi’s attention should be focused.
“Has anyone asked Nancy Pelosi when they are going to start cleaning up the filth and the literal feces that are lining the businesses?” Sears said of Pelosi’s San Francisco. “Has anyone asked Nancy Pelosi if she is going to take care of the people who are leaving?”
Pelosi campaigned with several Virginia Democrats, including Lucas and Virginia Democratic Party Chairwoman Susan Swecker, over the weekend.
Republicans hold a slim majority in the state’s House of Delegates and are aiming to flip the Democratic majority in the state Senate during the state election on Tuesday.
Both Democrats and Republicans have aggressively spent and campaigned in Virginia. Youngkin has been pushing the “Secure Your Vote” initiative to encourage voters to do early voting and absentee balloting.
At Youngkin’s rally on Monday, many rally attendees held signs reading “Hold the House. Flip the Senate.”
Pelosi is not the only high-profile Democrat campaigning in Virginia.
Neighboring Gov. Wes Moore (D-MD) has been campaigning in Virginia for Democratic candidates, including transgender Virginia Del. Danica Roem, ahead of Tuesday’s election.
Former President Barack Obama recorded a robocall for Virginians to “make our voices heard.”

How does Winsome Sears argue that the Republican Party supports individual freedoms and limited government intervention?
A accounts, “We cannot afford to let Republicans like Winsome Sears and Glenn Youngkin take us backwards. We need to stay the course and continue making progress.”
Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears quickly responded to the comments made by Pelosi and Lucas, expressing her disappointment in the divisive rhetoric coming from the Democratic Party. In a fiery social media response, Sears called out their false claims and highlighted the Republican Party’s commitment to individual freedoms and limited government intervention.
Sears began her response by addressing Lucas’ assertion that Republicans are “out of control” and attacking women’s rights. She firmly stated that the Republican Party has always been a strong advocate for both individual liberties and the protection of all life, including unborn children. Sears stressed that her party does not seek to jail women or their doctors, but rather to enact common-sense regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and the unborn child.
Furthermore, Sears disputed Pelosi’s claim that Democrats have the momentum and are working to address the needs of working families. She argued that the policies put forth by the Democratic Party, such as higher taxes and excessive government regulations, only hinder the ability of working families to succeed and prosper. Sears emphasized that the Republican Party, on the other hand, champions pro-growth economic policies that create opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background or socio-economic status.
Sears concluded her response by reaffirming the Republican Party’s commitment to the principles of limited government, individual freedom, and personal responsibility. She called on Virginians to reject the false claims and divisive rhetoric coming from the Democratic Party, and instead support candidates who will fight for their rights and prioritize their well-being.
