NJ School District Teams Up With Sex-Ed Group Offering ‘Tucking’ Underwear and Chest Binders.

A New Jersey School District Partners with⁣ Controversial Sex Education Group

In ‍a‌ bold move, a⁣ school district in‌ New⁣ Jersey has joined forces with a controversial sex education group that is ⁤offering “gender-affirming” ⁣kits to schools. These kits include items such as⁤ “tucking underwear,” chest binders, and devices that allow girls to ⁣pee standing ‌up.

Documents and videos obtained by Parents Defending ‌Education (PDE) and shared ⁢exclusively with The Daily Wire reveal the partnership‍ between the⁢ Princeton Public School (PPS) district and HiTOPS, a left-leaning sex education nonprofit. This partnership, which the district initially said it⁤ would reconsider, was first exposed by Project Veritas.

A Controversial Organization Dedicated to Inclusive Sex Education

HiTOPS, ⁣based⁤ in Princeton, describes itself as an organization dedicated ⁢ to providing ‍inclusive and youth-informed sex education and⁤ LGBTQ+ support throughout New Jersey.

Correspondence obtained‍ by PDE reveals that HiTOPS has been⁢ sending ⁢lesson plans and promotional flyers to PPS. One of the flyers promotes a “gender affirming kit” that includes chest binders, ‍”packing” tape, “tucking” underwear, “packers,”⁢ “chest forms,” and “stand to pee” devices.

“The HiTOPS Gender Affirming Kit ‍is a groundbreaking⁢ resource⁢ designed to support transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive ‌students ‍while promoting inclusivity within your school community. The Kit is a comprehensive package that equips administrators, teachers, school counselors, and nurses with the knowledge and tools they need to empower students ‌on their gender journey,” the flyer states.

Controversial Lesson Plans and Teaching Directives

One teacher manual designed for students in 6th through 8th grade encourages teachers to explain how a baby’s sex is determined at birth and how⁣ it may or may not relate to⁤ a person’s internal identity. Teachers are also directed to teach⁣ students about gender identity and to use preferred pronouns.

According to Erika Sanzi, director of outreach at PDE, these trainings are concerning as they encourage ⁤teachers ⁤to ‍ask for students’ gender‍ pronouns‌ and even instruct them⁣ to ask students how they want to be referred to ⁣in front of their parents. Sanzi argues that this is an⁣ invitation to keep ⁤secrets from ⁣parents.

Controversy and Lack of Response

The extent to which these materials and directives are being used in PPS ⁢classrooms remains unclear. However,⁢ critics ‍argue that the content is cult-like and inappropriate for⁣ schools.

PDE also obtained resources that include definitions⁣ of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Additionally, a 90-minute Zoom call between HiTOPS educators, teachers, and parents revealed the group’s approach to sex‍ education.

Despite requests for ⁤comment, neither PPS nor HiTOPS responded⁤ to The Daily‍ Wire.

What important questions does the‍ partnership between Princeton Public School district and HiTOPS ⁣raise about sex education ⁢in schools

K and play” silicone prosthetics, and “packing underwear” for transgender and gender-nonconforming students. The kit also‌ includes ⁢items such as “tucking underwear” for transgender women and devices that allow girls to pee standing up.

HiTOPS’ emphasis on inclusive sex education has drawn both support‌ and controversy. Supporters argue that comprehensive sex education is necessary to ensure the‍ well-being and safety of all students, especially those who are⁤ transgender or gender-nonconforming. They believe‍ that providing resources⁣ and information about gender identity and sexual orientation can help create a more accepting ‍and inclusive school environment.

However, critics of HiTOPS argue ⁣that the organization’s approach is too explicit and promotes‌ inappropriate content to young students. They believe‌ that ⁣these materials should not be introduced into classrooms, as they may ⁢confuse and disturb students who are not yet ready for such discussions. These critics also raise concerns about parental consent and involvement in the education of their children on sensitive topics.

Controversy Surrounding the Partnership

The partnership between ⁢Princeton Public School district and HiTOPS has sparked controversy among parents and community members. The‌ initial disclosure of ‌the partnership by Project Veritas⁣ led to widespread outrage and calls for the district to end its association with the controversial sex‍ education group. However, the district defended its decision, stating that HiTOPS’ materials were ‍intended for staff training purposes only, and that their use in⁣ classrooms had not‍ been authorized.

Following the release of the documents and videos obtained by‍ Parents Defending‌ Education, ⁤the PPS district was forced to reconsider its partnership with HiTOPS. The district acknowledged that the materials provided by HiTOPS included items that ‌were not appropriate for⁤ use in schools, such as the chest binders and prosthetics. They promised to conduct a thorough review of the partnership and its associated⁢ materials to ensure they align with the district’s policies and values.

Implications for Sex Education in Schools

The partnership⁢ between Princeton Public School district and HiTOPS raises important questions about the role of sex education in schools and the appropriate boundaries of such education. While many believe that ‌comprehensive sex education is necessary to equip students with the knowledge and skills to make⁢ informed decisions about their ‌sexual health, others argue ⁣for a more cautious and conservative approach.

Finding a balance between providing⁣ accurate and ‌inclusive information while respecting the values and beliefs of diverse communities remains a challenge for school districts across the country. The controversy surrounding the partnership between PPS and HiTOPS highlights the need for transparent and consultative processes‍ when incorporating external resources into the curriculum.

Ultimately, the decision regarding whether to continue the partnership rests with the Princeton Public School district. It is essential that they consider the concerns and opinions of parents, students, and⁤ community members when making their final determination. The ongoing debate surrounding ⁤sex education in schools serves as a reminder ‍of⁤ the importance of open dialogue and collaboration ⁢in shaping the education of future generations.
