Can Israel’s hostage deal benefit Hamas?
Engaging Paraphrase:
Over the weekend, Hamas finally released some of the hostages they had taken during their horrific killing spree. It’s a small victory, but it brings the total number of hostages released to 43. However, the question remains: why did this deal happen in the first place?
For Israel, the answer is clear: they value the lives of their citizens above all else. They are willing to take risks and make sacrifices to bring their people home. They could easily crush Hamas with their superior military power, but they choose to pursue a peaceful resolution.
On the other hand, Hamas is desperate for a break. They have been decimated by Israel’s relentless attacks, losing many of their leaders and suffering heavy losses in northern Gaza. They need time to regroup, plan new operations, and convince the world that they are not the monsters they truly are.
But let’s not forget the atrocities committed by Hamas. They hang glided into Israel, massacred innocent people at a music festival, burned babies in their cribs, raped mothers, and slaughtered civilians without mercy. It’s hard to believe that they can ever be seen as reasonable actors.
Unfortunately, Hamas doesn’t have to convince the world themselves. They have plenty of supporters in the media who are more than willing to do their bidding. These so-called “cheerleaders” in the legacy media have been spreading pro-Hamas propaganda without any remorse.
The media’s biased coverage is evident in their questioning of Israel’s actions. They ask whether Israel’s exchange of terrorists for hostages represents a disregard for Palestinian life. It’s a ridiculous argument that ignores the fact that every person Hamas is releasing is innocent, while every person Israel is releasing is a criminal.
The truth is, Hamas is being celebrated for getting their terrorists back, while Israel is being criticized for trying to bring their people home. It’s a twisted narrative that ignores the reality of the situation.
The Release of Prisoners: A Stark Contrast
As soon as the prisoners were set free, they wasted no time in showing their allegiance to Hamas, donning their headgear and vowing to continue their terrorist activities.
Meanwhile, heartwarming footage emerged of Israeli children being reunited with their parents, a bittersweet moment considering some of these children had lost their parents to the brutal acts of Hamas.

Another heart-wrenching story is that of a four-year-old American child who was finally released, but tragically, both her parents had lost their lives.
The stark difference between the two sides is evident. Even during the hostage release, Hamas played manipulative games, separating families and denying access to the International Red Cross. They even forced the hostages to pose for the cameras, trying to create a false image of their treatment.
Unbelievably, Hamas propagandists attempted to argue that the released prisoners were content with their captors. This absurd claim was even supported by the Irish head of government, Leo Varadkar.
One of the hostages was in such critical condition that immediate medical evacuation was necessary.
However, the media’s portrayal of this obvious moral imbalance was disheartening. They attempted to paint Israel as also holding innocent people, obscuring the fact that the woman in one picture was a terrorist who had attempted to detonate a car bomb.
Even a CNN journalist claimed moral equivalence between the release of innocent children and the release of Palestinian terrorists by Israel.
Watch this dishonest report from CNN “journalist” @nimaelbagir.
The reason she doesn’t mention the name of the girl she is highlighting is because then people can go look up Marah Bakir’s case and see she stabbed a 19 year old border guard and then tried take his gun to kill… pic.twitter.com/BeVnHjzdNp

Notably, Gigi Hadid also joined in, accusing Israel of heinous crimes against Palestinians, using Ahmed Almansara as her example of victimhood.
It is clear that the release of prisoners highlighted a stark contrast between the two sides, with Hamas showing their true colors and the media attempting to distort the truth.
Ahmed’s Game: The Distorted Narrative of Israel’s Enemies
Ahmed, a disturbing figure, is captured on camera running through a Jewish area, fueled by a sinister purpose – to find someone to stab. His eyes settle on a vulnerable 13-year-old boy, a chilling choice.
This is not just a random act of violence. It is part of a dangerous game that is played repeatedly, with the same rules and objectives.
The game is simple: create a false sense of moral equivalence between Israel and its enemies. Disregard any evidence that contradicts this narrative. This allows for the perpetuation of the dangerously false notion that Israel’s destruction is a legitimate goal or that Israel should make concessions to terrorist groups. It is important to note that these terrorist groups are the de facto governing powers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Take Fatah, for example, the military wing of the Palestinian Authority led by Mahmoud Abbas, who is touted as Israel’s peace partner and a potential leader for Gaza. Shockingly, a senior Fatah official recently justified the Hamas massacre of Israelis as a ”defensive war.”
These are the so-called ”moderates.” Meanwhile, the non-moderates spent the weekend brutally murdering and mutilating two individuals accused of collaborating with Israel. The images of this atrocity are horrifying.
This was Hamza Mubarak, 31.
Two days ago he was executed by a Palestinian street mob.
His hands were bound, his legs tied.
He was hung upside down on a metal pole as hundreds of men cheered.
His legs were then cut off and his body discarded in a pile of trash.

Notice the cellphones. Notice the cheering. This is where the problem lies.
Without moral parity, the idea of a “two-state solution” becomes impossible under these circumstances. Not with Hamas. Not with the Palestinian Authority or Palestinian Islamic Jihad. None of the parties at the negotiating table can be trusted.
And unfortunately, this situation is unlikely to change anytime soon.
So, what can the legacy media do in the face of these disturbing realities?

They have a few options left when their narrative of Hamas being kind to old women and children they’ve kidnapped fails. First, they can argue that Hamas has no agency and is merely a victim of circumstances. According to this argument, Israel is solely to blame for Hamas. This absurd notion suggests that only the Jews have agency.
The Washington Post, which has shamelessly acted as a mouthpiece for Hamas during this conflict, takes this argument further. They claim that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the real culprit, as he pursued a strategy that allowed Hamas to rule in Gaza while the Palestinian Authority controlled the West Bank.
But let’s set aside the fact that the world would have condemned Israel if they had tried to remove Hamas over the past two decades. Let’s also ignore the fact that the Palestinian Authority currently supports Hamas and is itself a terrorist group. The absurdity of blaming the Jews for radical Muslim atrocities while simultaneously arguing against disarming Hamas is mind-boggling.
To summarize this logic: Bibi is bad because he didn’t remove Hamas, but Bibi must not remove Hamas.
If that argument fails, the press has resorted to condemning Israel’s retaliation against Hamas as equally evil. They demand that Israel possess magical weaponry that only targets terrorists, even when those terrorists hide among civilians.
Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut is one of the voices pushing this baseless argument. He conveniently connects it to the idea that Israel should make concessions to the Palestinians, despite the failure of previous concessions in Gaza and the West Bank.
None of these arguments hold up to scrutiny.
But they don’t have to. They serve as a prelude to a more subtle argument: that Israel should be pressured to stop its defensive actions.
However, Israel cannot afford to stop. The recent hostage deal was a testament to the dangers of appeasement.
Israel must eradicate Hamas. Allowing Hamas to survive would portray Israel as weak, indecisive, and incapable of protecting its citizens. While Israel has successfully neutralized many terrorist groups in the region, as long as these groups persist, they claim victory and regroup.
Israel cannot allow that.
Furthermore, Israel is only at the beginning of this battle.
Engaging the Conflict: Israel’s Ongoing Battle for Security
As Prime Minister Netanyahu boldly declared over the weekend, “We have three crucial goals for this war: to eliminate Hamas, secure the release of our hostages, and ensure Gaza never poses a threat to Israel again.”
The Battle Rages On
But let’s not forget, the conflict in Gaza is far from over.
However, the challenges faced by Israel extend beyond the borders of Gaza.
Threats on the Horizon
In the years to come, Israel must confront and dismantle Hezbollah, a menacing force lurking on its northern border.
- 30,000 Israelis have already been displaced from their homes in northern Israel due to the constant terrorist threat posed by Hezbollah.
- Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed terror group, possesses a staggering arsenal of at least 200,000 rockets, with an estimated 50,000 equipped with targeting systems.
The situation with Hezbollah cannot be ignored, especially considering Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons.
Challenges on Multiple Fronts
Furthermore, the West Bank, where the Palestinian Authority’s influence is feeble, presents an ongoing challenge.
Israel must continue employing counterinsurgency tactics in both Gaza and the West Bank to safeguard its safety and security.
The pressing question remains: Will the international community support Israel’s necessary actions to protect its own security?
A Broader Concern
This question is intrinsically linked to a larger issue: Will the West take decisive measures to safeguard itself against the threat of radical Islam?
How can the international community support Israel in its efforts to defend itself against terrorism?
D ensure the long-term security of Israel.”
These goals require resolve, determination, and a commitment to the safety and well-being of Israeli citizens.
Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorism and ensure the safety of its people. It must continue to take action against Hamas and other terrorist organizations threatening its borders. The release of hostages, while a small victory, is just one step in the ongoing battle for security.
The international community must stand with Israel in condemning the actions of Hamas and supporting its efforts to protect its citizens. The media, in particular, has a responsibility to report the truth and not to propagate the false narrative created by Hamas and its supporters.
Engaging in the conflict means understanding the complex dynamics at play and acknowledging the stark contrast between the actions of Israel and Hamas. It means recognizing that Hamas is a terrorist organization responsible for heinous acts of violence, while Israel is a democratic state committed to the principles of peace and security.
Israel’s battle for security is ongoing, and its efforts to protect its citizens should be applauded. The release of hostages serves as a reminder of the importance of perseverance and the commitment to pursue peace while never compromising on the safety and security of its people.
As the world watches the events unfolding in the Middle East, it is crucial to engage with the conflict in an informed and unbiased manner. Supporting Israel’s fight against terrorism and advocating for a peaceful resolution is paramount to ensuring a better and safer future for all.
Ultimately, the engagement with the conflict must be rooted in truth, fairness, and a commitment to justice. Only then can meaningful progress be made towards lasting peace and security in the region.
