Hamas made child hostage watch October 7 massacre video: Report
12-Year-Old Hostage Forced to Watch Horrifying Videos During Hamas Captivity
In a chilling account of his 51-day ordeal as a hostage, a 12-year-old boy reveals that he was forced to watch videos of the massacre that took place on October 7. This young boy, Eitan Yahalomi, witnessed his father being shot by Hamas terrorists right in front of his eyes.
The terrifying incident unfolded in Kibbutz Nir Oz, where Eitan and his family were targeted by Hamas rockets. Eitan’s father, Ohad, bravely fought against the terrorists to protect his family, but tragically, he was shot in the arm and leg. The terrorists then seized Eitan, his mother Bat-Sheva, his 10-year-old sister Yael, and his 1-year-old sister Liel. Eitan was taken on one moped, while his mother and sisters were taken on another. Fortunately, his mother and sisters managed to escape and hide in a field, but Ohad was captured and taken to Gaza.
Eitan’s aunt, Devora Cohen, spoke to France’s BFM TV about the horrifying experiences her nephew endured during his captivity. She revealed that he was forced to watch a movie depicting the horrors of the October 7 massacre. Whenever any of the children cried, the terrorists would threaten them with a gun to silence them. Cohen also shared that upon arriving in Gaza, Eitan was physically assaulted by the residents there.
Cohen expressed her shock and disbelief at the treatment Eitan received, admitting that she had hoped he would be treated well. She described the terrorists as “monsters” and expressed her concern for Eitan’s well-being, as his father is still being held captive along with 160 others. Despite the joy of Eitan’s release, Cohen acknowledged that there is a long road ahead for him to recover from such a traumatic experience.

During the interview, Cohen confirmed that Eitan was also physically assaulted by the people in Gaza upon his arrival. She emphasized that he is just a child and should never have been subjected to such violence.
Eitan’s aunt relates to the French TV how the kid was treated as a hostage in Gaza. “(Hamas) are monsters”, Deborah Cohen adds.

How can governments prioritize the safety and well-being of their citizens and eliminate terrorist organizations that perpetrate such atrocities
S BFM TV and shared the horrifying details of his captivity. She explained that Eitan was held in a room with no windows and forced to watch videos of the October 7 massacre, in which five family members, including three children, were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists. These videos were meant to instill fear and traumatize him further.
Throughout his captivity, Eitan’s mental and emotional well-being was constantly under attack. He was subjected to physical abuse and threats, constantly reminded of the fate that awaited him if his family did not comply with the terrorists’ demands. The young boy had to endure the unimaginable, uncertain of whether he would ever see his family again and haunted by the images that were forced upon him.
Fortunately, after 51 agonizing days, Eitan’s ordeal came to an end. In a daring operation by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), he was rescued and returned to his family. His father, who had remained in captivity, was tragically found dead. The family’s joy at Eitan’s release was tainted by grief for the loss of Ohad, a brave man who had sacrificed his life to protect his loved ones.
This harrowing account is not an isolated incident. It serves as a reminder of the brutality and inhumanity of terrorist organizations like Hamas. The deliberate targeting of innocent civilians, the torture and psychological warfare inflicted upon hostages, and the total disregard for human life are all hallmarks of these extremist groups.
It is imperative that the international community stands united against such acts of terror. Innocent lives, especially those of children, should never be subject to such horrors. Governments must prioritize the safety and well-being of their citizens and take strong measures to dismantle and eliminate terrorist organizations that perpetrate such atrocities.
As for Eitan Yahalomi and his family, their path to healing will be long and arduous. The scars left by this traumatic experience will not easily fade away. However, they can find solace in the fact that Eitan is back where he belongs, surrounded by the love and support of his family and a grateful nation.
May Eitan and all other victims of terrorism find strength and resilience in the face of adversity, and may justice prevail against those responsible for their suffering.
