  • Vote counting is still ⁣underway in Mizoram, where⁣ the Bharatiya Janata Party’s regional ally, ⁤the⁢ Mizo National⁣ Front, holds power.

The ⁢elections in these five states,‌ which took place last month, involved over 160 million eligible voters.‌ Due to ⁢India’s ‌large population, elections are typically conducted‍ in phases.

“The results⁢ in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan‍ indicate that the people of India ‌are firmly with politics of good ⁤governance and⁤ development, which the @BJP4India stands for,” Modi ⁢wrote on X, formerly ‌known as⁣ Twitter.

Opposition Leader Acknowledges Defeat
