Having six kids brings so much more meaning to life than just eating pizza at Costco. The pizza becomes a means to nourish and satisfy their growing bodies, rather than just another mundane lunch option. How many times can you eat Costco pizza and truly enjoy it? Personally, I prefer a juicy steak.
Back when I worked in an office without kids, lunchtime became monotonous after a while. To spice things up, I started inviting colleagues to join me for lunch. It was fun because I had interesting coworkers, but even that novelty wore off eventually.
There are going to be a lot of “DINKs” in the future in their 50s to 80s that are going to be regretting this strategy.
