Time ⁢Magazine has named singer and‍ songwriter Taylor Swift ⁤as the “Person of the Year” for​ 2023.

On Wednesday, the⁣ magazine announced that they ⁣have awarded the‍ sought-after title to‍ Swift in⁤ a released‌ article that ⁢described her ‌musical achievements and biography.

This is the proudest ‌and happiest I’ve ⁣ever felt, ‌and the most creatively‍ fulfilled and free I’ve ever been,” Swift told the publication in an interview. “Ultimately, we can convolute it all we want, or try to overcomplicate⁢ it, but there’s only one question: Are you ⁤not entertained?”

A diverse ⁣number of finalists, including “Barbie,” Vladimir Putin, King Charles III, and ⁣Xi Jinping, ⁢were defeated by the well-known pop singer.

Swift received similar ⁣recognition from‍ People Magazine, which ⁤named her the “Most⁣ Interesting ‌Person of‌ the Year” for 2023, as well as⁤ Forbes, ⁢which ​ranked her as the “Top Female Figure In The World Of Media and Entertainment.”

The 33-year-old was ‍also named as ‍Spotify’s most-streamed artist globally this year, taking musician Bad ​Bunny’s place, who held ⁣the title for ​the past three years.

Swift also became the first artist to receive seven nominations overall for song of the ‍year in November, when she broke Grammy ⁢records with her song “Anti-Hero.”

Additionally, she was awarded ​a ⁤Grammy ‍for “Best Music⁣ Video” for‌ her work in “All Too Well: The‌ Short Film” this year. ⁣On top of that, Swift⁣ won big at the MTV Video Music ‍Awards, finishing ⁣with‌ nine victories ‌and tying the ⁣record for most VMAs ​ever won in a single night.

Harvard ⁢University, Stanford University, and the University of California, Berkeley, have all launched collegiate courses on Swift⁤ due to her major success as‍ a songwriter and‌ businesswoman overall.

Swift’s net worth is said ⁣to have exceeded $1 billion this year.

According to ⁣Box Office Mojo, Swift’s Eras Tour concert‍ film also became the highest-grossing concert film of all ‍time in⁣ the U.S. and Canada. Now, eight weeks ‍into its 13-week⁣ run, ‌the film has‍ grossed nearly‍ $250⁢ million worldwide.
