Op-Ed: Israel-Hamas Conflict Persists, Pt 2
This is Part 2. Part 1 can be read here.
Understanding the Muslim Palestinian Culture
As I mentioned, I had the incredible opportunity to live in the West Bank for a period of time. During my stay, I immersed myself in the Muslim Palestinian culture, residing with the locals in East Jerusalem and exploring various Muslim sites across Israel.
The differences between the Muslims with Israeli citizenship and those living in the West Bank are profound. The Palestinians in the West Bank harbor an unrelenting bitterness and fear towards Israel.
During my time in Nablus, the very headquarters of Hamas in Israel, I gained valuable insights into this conflict and witnessed firsthand how Muslim Palestinian leaders manipulate their people through fear and propaganda. Just turn on the news in the West Bank, and you’ll be bombarded with images of sorrow, anger, and endless strife. I witnessed all of this with my own eyes.
In the Muslim Palestinian culture, if an individual in the West Bank or Gaza dares to challenge the status quo, to speak out against Hamas or the Palestine Liberation Organization, their family faces a terrifying obligation. According to their cultural norms, if a family member brings dishonor by, for example, marrying a non-Muslim, it becomes the family’s duty to murder their own kin in order to restore their honor!
How can a culture so consumed by destruction and vengeance ever hope to change when the constant threat of murder and honor killings hangs over their heads? The entire culture has become entrenched in war and bitterness. This anger, fear, and hatred permeate every aspect of their lives in the West Bank and Gaza. Who can bring peace to a people ruled by such evil and destruction?
Hamas Is the Head of the Snake
Unbelievable pressure is being exerted on Israel to cease its fighting with Hamas. Even our own CIA director recently visited Qatar in an attempt to persuade Israel to agree to a cease-fire — but only upon the release of all their hostages.
While peace is undoubtedly a desirable outcome, the notion that a mere “cease-fire” will bring lasting peace is nothing more than a fantasy. Hamas will continue to rule over the West Bank and Gaza, and the people living there will remain trapped in a cycle of fear, constantly bombarded with hateful propaganda. It won’t be long before Hamas terrorists start plotting their next attacks on Israel, rebuilding their underground fortresses, and amassing even more weapons. Even a child can see this.
If the CIA, White House, UN, European Union, Arab League, and other entities truly cared about the Muslim Palestinians, they would take real action to solve the problem. Instead, the world continues to fund Hamas and its terror operations. What on earth is wrong with these people?
How much suffering have the citizens of Israel endured over the past 80 years, while the nations enable the strife and war? How much have the Muslim Palestinian civilians suffered under their oppressive regimes, yet the nations pour untold billions into Hamas and other groups, perpetuating fear and generations of war and terrorism?
A Long-Term Solution?
The idea of a “two-state solution” is nothing short of a joke. While the Muslim Palestinians claim to want it, they actually shy away from it out of fear of losing the free money they receive. Israel, on the other hand, does not want its enemies at its doorstep. A two-state solution for Israel would only mean more generations of war.
What do the Muslim Palestinians chant? “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” Give them a nation (which they have essentially had for 80 years), and they will create a state much like North Korea — forever at war, always ready to fight their neighbor. There is absolutely no rationale for a two-state solution, and everyone in politics knows it.
Considering the recent massacre carried out by Hamas, I highly doubt we will find a long-term solution to this problem. It is alarming, to say the least, that the world is not uniting against this evil, condemning every Hamas leader to life imprisonment for the murder of innocent elderly, women, and children.
Instead of rallying against Hamas, the nations are directing their anger towards Israel. What has become of us? How has the world become so callous and devoid of reason? I am deeply ashamed of my own nation and its leadership. I am ashamed that they are not more vehemently denouncing Hamas for what it truly is — a terrorist organization waging war against the people of Israel.
Many of us around the world desire for the Muslim Palestinian people to have a better life. However, the recent actions of their leadership have only harmed their cause for years to come.
My heart aches for the Israeli people who have endured this complex conflict for so long. I grieve that there is no quick or easy solution. The paths ahead for Israel seem to involve more loss, sorrow, and suffering.
My message to Israelis is this: Do not surrender an inch of your land. Rid yourselves of Hamas and every terrorist organization in the West Bank and Gaza. The time is now. It will only become increasingly difficult in the years to come. You have prepared your nation for war, and now you must rid yourselves of the evil that has plagued you for 80 years.
This is not a time to be afraid, but a time to take action swiftly. A long-term cease-fire is a terrible trap. The world will never come to your aid as we all hoped. With or without the approval of the nations, Hamas must not be allowed to remain. Your enemies are watching. This war will persist whether you desire it or not.
Once Gaza is free from Hamas, you can begin the process of liberating the Muslim Palestinian people from the terror they have endured for far too long. Perhaps some Arab nations will be willing to collaborate with you and provide refuge for their fellow Palestinians?
Imprison the criminals, bring the terrorists to justice, stand against the evil that has permeated this culture for so long, and you will achieve a great victory! Alternatively, if you succumb to the ill-conceived plans of the nations, you will only know sorrow, terror, death, and destruction for generations to come.
As they say, “carpe diem” — seize the day! When else will you have such an opportunity to free yourselves?
Countless individuals around the world are hoping and praying for you. Many are eager to support your cause of peace and freedom through volunteering, donations, prayers, and more. Do not be afraid! Your God is with you. He is the same Living God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who fights for you even now!
We stand with Israel for victory and peace!
Amen.

Despite international indifference, how does the PAA garner support from allies who understand the challenges it faces, and what impact does this support have on its efforts for peace in Israel
Rrorist organization that seeks to destroy you. Stand strong, defend your homeland, and never give up on the fight for peace and security. The world may turn a blind eye, but know that there are those who stand with you, who understand the threats you face, and who will continue to support you. May you find strength and resilience in the face of adversity, and may a day come when peace finally prevails in the land of Israel.
