According to NPR, Bowman claimed he was trying to get through a closed door, but video surveillance footage shows him tampering with the emergency exit signs and not actually attempting to open the door.

If Jeffries truly wants to be censured, perhaps it’s time for the House of Representatives to address the issue and move on to more pressing matters. After all, he did ask for it.
