George Santos Spreads Holiday Cheer with Christmas-Themed Cameo Videos
“Well, guess what time of year it is, y’all? It’s time for … Santos Claus!” the former New York Republican congressman exclaimed in a social media post promoting his Cameo site. “For a very limited time, I’ll be doing Cameos to bring Christmas cheer to all your faces!”
Stay sassy and classy, folks! Let’s go make Christmas great again!”
Cameo is a website where people can pay high-profile celebrities, including actors, reality stars, athletes, comedians, and musicians, to share personalized messages for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Santos, known for his previous charges of $150-$200 per video, has now raised his price to $500.
The 35-year-old has recently threatened to take legal action against late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and ABC for allegedly misusing his Cameo clips. Santos’ lawyer, Andrew Mancilla, sent a cease-and-desist letter to Kimmel’s show.
“We are writing to congratulate you — your ‘dream’ of being sued by Mr. Santos may indeed come true,” Santos’ lawyer stated in the legal letter.
His lawyer continued, “While your comedic efforts are much appreciated, you should have obtained Mr. Santos’ consent, as he is not camera shy, nor is he blind to the comedic irony of suing you for fraud.”
In October, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York announced that Santos is currently facing 23 charges, including wire fraud, making false statements to the Federal Election Commission, falsifying records, aggravated identity theft, and access device fraud.
In a historic vote, the House of Representatives recently expelled Santos from Congress, making him just the sixth member of the House to face such punishment.
Santos Looks to the Future
In a Monday interview with comedian Ziwe, Santos responded to his expulsion from the House.
“I’ll be back… I’m 35. They’re all in their 50s. I’ll outlive them,”
When asked about the possibility of joining Dancing with the Stars, Santos replied, ”I’ll pass.”
Santos also addressed his past experience dressing up as a drag queen.
“Are you alt-right for clout, or do you believe drag queens are a greater threat to children than guns?” Ziwe questioned Santos.
“I love drag queens. Let’s set the record straight. I don’t like drag queens for kids,” Santos clarified.
Ziwe pressed him further, “You said that they were worse for children than guns.”
“I still think drag queens are not for kids,” Santos maintained.
Ziwe asserted, “No one is saying they are for kids.”
Santos pushed back, “Then why are there drag queen story hours?”
