Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) didn’t hold back in criticizing President Joe Biden’s complaints about the media’s coverage of him as the reason for his unpopularity in polling. Instead, Kennedy pointed to Biden’s policies, particularly those concerning the border, which he claims make the president “as popular as herpes.”
“The truth is that most members of the media tried to help him,” Kennedy told Hannity. “But in Louisiana, President Biden is as popular as herpes.”

According to Kennedy, the people of Louisiana are not easily fooled. They believe that the Biden administration is filled with stupidity from one end of the river to the other. The open border is a prime example of this. President Biden’s actions have caused the problems at the southern border, and the blame lies solely on him.
Kennedy also expressed his confidence that a supplemental appropriations bill will not pass in the Senate unless steps are taken to secure the border.
These remarks from the Republican senator come after Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s recent trip to Mexico. Blinken, along with other U.S. officials, met with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador to discuss amnesty for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients and ongoing talks about a bipartisan border security deal.
