Israel Takes Down Hamas Commander Responsible for Oct. 7 Attacks
Israel’s military announced on Monday that they have successfully eliminated a Hamas commander who led the terrorists during the Oct. 7 attacks.
“ELIMINATED: Adil Mismah, the Nukhba Company Commander of Deir al-Balah who took part in Hamas’s October 7 invasion and massacre and attack on other communities surrounding Gaza,” the Israel Defense Forces posted on X, formerly Twitter, Monday. The Nukhba force is a highly trained unit of Hamas’s military wing.
The IDF also reported that they targeted locations used by Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad for combat, and they successfully “eliminated” the terrorists who launched mortar and rocket attacks on Israeli troops.
During the Oct. 7 attack orchestrated by Hamas, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 Israelis, mostly innocent civilians, Adil Mismah led the terrorists into Kibbutz Kissufim and directed other fighters towards communities like Be’eri and Nirim, as reported by the Jerusalem Post.
Hamas terrorists took hostages during their raids on these three communities. Shlomo Mansour, an 85-year-old resident of Kissufim who was born in Iraq, remains in captivity. Hannah Perry, a 79-year-old resident of Nirim, was released as part of a truce between Israel and Hamas in late November. Gali Tarshansky, a 13-year-old from Be’eri who was taken captive, managed to escape by jumping out of a safe room window. Unfortunately, her 15-year-old brother, Lior, was killed by the terrorists in their home.
