After laying his son to rest, Tahar embarked on a relentless search for his son’s missing head, seeking answers from anyone who might have information. During his investigation, he stumbled upon a video that showed his son’s body without the head during the attacks.
Finally, after months of anguish, Tahar received a breakthrough. Interrogations conducted by Shin Bet, Israel’s security agency, with captured Hamas terrorists unveiled the location of the head. Shockingly, one of the terrorists had attempted to sell it for a staggering $10,000. Tahar emotionally shared, “Inside a duffel bag with tennis balls: documents of some terrorist, and a soldier’s head. They managed to bring what was left after two and a half months, it was probably abused there as well.” After confirming the identity through DNA and dental records, the family laid the head to rest.
