Former FBI executives warn Congress: Border invasion poses grave danger to America

Retired FBI Directors and Counterintelligence Experts Warn of “Soft Invasion” at the‍ US Border

Experts Sound the ⁣Alarm‌ on ⁤President Biden’s Border Policies

Ten retired FBI directors and counterintelligence experts have penned a letter to congressional leaders, raising⁤ concerns about President Joe Biden’s border policies. They argue that these‍ policies ⁣have created⁤ a “soft invasion” of military-age‌ men from terror-linked regions, China, and Russia into the United States.

The ⁢letter ⁤emphasizes the imminent but preventable ‍threat of‌ a terrorist attack.

“The threat ⁣we call out today is new and unfamiliar.‍ In its modern history, the U.S. has ⁢never suffered an ⁣invasion of the homeland, ‌and, yet, one is unfolding now. Military-age men from across the globe, many from countries or regions not friendly to the United ⁢States, are landing ‌in ‍waves on our soil by the thousands – not by splashing ashore from a ship or parachuting from a plane but rather by foot⁣ across a border that has ⁢been accurately advertised around the world⁣ as largely unprotected with ready access granted.”

The retired FBI directors and experts express deep concern about the presence of a large number of young single adult males from hostile nations and regions within the country. They highlight the unknown ⁣backgrounds, intentions, and allegiances of these individuals, including those encountered by border officials and possibly released into ⁣the country, as well as the shockingly high number of “gotaways” who⁣ have entered and evaded apprehension.

According to the ‍US Department of Defense, an Army company consists of 100 soldiers, a battalion of 1,000, a brigade of 5,000, a ‍division of 15,000, and a‍ corps of 45,000.

Since President Biden⁣ took office, there have been over 1.7 ‌million reported “gotaways” who⁢ have illegally entered and evaded capture, with ‌the majority being military-age men. This number is part ⁤of the total of over 10 million illegal border crossers reported to have entered the country from January 1, 2021, to September 30, ‌2023.

“In light of such a daunting, unprecedented penetration by ‌uninvited foreign actors, it is reasonable to assert that the country possesses dramatically⁣ diminished national security at this‍ time. The ‌nation’s military, laws, and other natural‍ protective barriers that have provided traditional security in the past have been thoroughly circumvented over ‍the past three years,” the former FBI directors wrote.

The retired officials are calling on Congress to take immediate action⁢ in securing the ⁤border and identifying⁤ and removing these young men and those already in the country illegally.

U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wisc.,⁢ shared a ‌copy of the letter, stating, “This sobering letter from former FBI, Homeland Security, and other‌ law‌ enforcement officials describes ⁤the ‍chilling reality of why the president’s open border is a clear and present danger to America.”

The letter, dated January 17, was written‍ prior‍ to Texas Governor Greg Abbott invoking the invasion clause of the U.S. Constitution to defend Texas and before ⁤the House began the process of impeaching⁣ U.S.‍ Department of Homeland Security ⁢Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the ongoing border crisis.

The letter was addressed to Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Democratic Senate Majority Leader‍ Chuck Schumer,⁢ and the chairs of the House and Senate intelligence and homeland security committees.

The retired⁤ FBI officials who signed the letter have served‌ under seven U.S. presidents and four FBI⁢ directors. They include Kevin Brock, Chris Swecker, Timothy Healy, Ruben Garcia Jr., Mark Morgan, David Szady, Jody ⁤Weiss, David Mitchell, William Gavin, and Timothy McNally.

What are ⁤the potential consequences of allowing individuals with nefarious intentions to enter the country undetected through border loopholes?

O ⁢have entered⁤ the United States through the southern border. This is equivalent to more than 34 brigades or 170,000 soldiers. The letter argues that this constitutes ‌a significant security risk for the country.

The letter⁢ goes on to express ‌concern about the potential infiltration of terrorists from terror-linked regions into the United States. The retired FBI directors and experts highlight the fact that the border policies implemented by the Biden administration have created a loophole for individuals with nefarious intentions to enter the country undetected. They argue that this poses a direct threat to national security.

Furthermore, the letter raises ⁤alarm about the involvement of China and Russia in⁣ this “soft invasion”. The retired directors and experts assert that these hostile nations are taking⁤ advantage of the porous border to send their military-age men into the‍ United States. They emphasize the need for heightened scrutiny⁤ and intelligence gathering to identify and neutralize any potential threats.

The letter concludes by calling on congressional leaders to ⁣take immediate action to address the issues at the border. It suggests a comprehensive overhaul of border ⁤security policies and an increase in resources allocated to border enforcement agencies. The retired directors and⁢ experts emphasize the importance of protecting national security and preventing ‌any potential terrorist attacks or foreign infiltration.

In response to this letter, White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, ‍stated that the Biden administration takes border security seriously and is committed to addressing any national security concerns.‌ She emphasized the need for a comprehensive immigration reform to address the root causes of migration and strengthen border enforcement.

The concerns raised by these ten retired⁢ FBI directors and counterintelligence experts highlight the urgency of the situation at⁢ the US border. It is crucial for the government‌ to prioritize national security and ensure that measures are in‍ place to prevent any potential ⁣threats from entering the country. As the debate on border policies continues, it is important for policymakers to take into ⁢account the insights and expertise provided by these distinguished⁣ experts.
