McCaul: Mayorkas must be held accountable for his actions

A Senior House Republican ⁤Calls ‌for Retribution Against Homeland Security Secretary

A senior House Republican strongly rebuked Homeland⁣ Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas hours before the GOP’s impeachment proceedings against‌ the Cabinet official begin and called for staunch retribution.

House⁢ Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) passionately demanded that Mayorkas “pay for his sins” for his failure to address the‌ alarming surge⁤ of illegal immigrants attempting ⁣to enter the country over the ⁢past three years.

“Nobody deserves it more than this man. I call him the architect of destruction and chaos. He has created this crisis. And he knows better; he’s ⁤smarter,” McCaul said during a press⁣ conference at the U.S. Capitol Monday evening.

McCaul emphasized⁣ that Mayorkas is fully aware of the consequences of his actions⁢ and⁢ must face⁣ the consequences.

McCaul joined a united front of ‍GOP lawmakers‍ who expressed ‍their strong disapproval ‌of Mayorkas and presented a united party front ahead of⁢ the House Homeland Security Committee’s markup of two articles of ⁤impeachment against him on Tuesday.

McCaul ⁣shared a personal tragedy, revealing ‌that his children attended ⁤the funeral⁤ of a friend who tragically died ⁣from fentanyl poisoning on Christmas morning.

“The family tried to wake him up. He was dead. This is the real human ⁢life tragedy of the Biden administration’s policies,” McCaul said. “We will‍ begin our articles of impeachment tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. on the Homeland Security Committee, and we will prevail.”

Although House Republicans have a slim ⁢majority and are expected to ‍have enough ⁣votes to impeach ‌Mayorkas, it is unlikely that he will be convicted in the Senate,‍ which⁢ is controlled by Democrats.

How is unit rate used to find the rate‌ per unit in‌ different contexts?

Unit rate is a ratio that compares two different quantities, typically the amount of one quantity to one⁢ unit of another quantity. It is used to find ‌the ‍rate per unit or the cost of a single unit.

For example, if a car travels 360 miles on 12 gallons of‌ gas, the unit rate would be 30 miles⁤ per gallon (360 miles / 12 gallons = 30 miles/gallon). This means that ⁤for every gallon of ⁣gas, the car can travel 30 miles.

Unit ‍rate can ‌also be used in other contexts, such ⁢as‌ finding the cost per item. For example, ⁤if a dozen ⁤eggs ‌costs $2,‌ the unit rate would be $0.17 per egg⁤ ($2 ‌/ 12 eggs = $0.17/egg). ⁢This means that each egg costs $0.17.

Unit rate is useful in determining the relationship between quantities and can be used to compare different situations or make predictions.
