35 anti-abortion groups urge Congress to prevent DC medical examiner from destroying ‘possible evidence of infanticide
EXCLUSIVE: Anti-Abortion Coalition Urges Congress to Save Babies’ Bodies from Destruction
A coalition of 35 anti-abortion organizations is making a passionate plea to Congress to intervene and prevent the Washington, D.C., medical examiner’s office from disposing of what they believe are the bodies of five babies who may have been victims of infanticide.
“We call on the House of Representatives to immediately intervene to demand these bodies are not discarded before the proper autopsies and investigations have occurred,” the coalition’s letter stated.
“Additionally, we urge Members of Congress to offer their voice to speak out about the five innocent unborn children whose lives were brutally taken just three miles from the House chamber.”
The remains were discovered by members of the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising group outside a Washington Surgi-Clinic two years ago. Despite calls for investigation into what activists believe to be evidence of illegal abortions, district authorities and the Department of Justice have largely ignored the issue.
Rep. Chris Smith, co-chair of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, is demanding that Congress preserve the evidence and conduct its own investigation. He stated, “When they were alive, these babies deserved to be treated with respect and compassion. Now, after their violent slaughter, justice must be tenaciously pursued with a thorough investigation into the details surrounding their brutal deaths — no cover ups!”
Sen. Ted Cruz, who has been vocal on the issue, criticized the Department of Justice for pressuring the medical examiner to destroy the evidence. He emphasized the need for a proper investigation into whether the late-term abortions violated federal law.
The coalition’s letter highlights that OB-GYNs, despite not conducting autopsies, have reviewed available evidence and determined that federal law was likely violated. However, the Department of Justice has allegedly refused to investigate and is now seeking to destroy the evidence.
The investigation into this matter will continue, according to Russell Dye, spokesman for House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan.
This case sheds light on the extreme nature of abortion and the Biden Administration’s unwavering support for it, even at the expense of potential federal law violations and the most barbaric abortions throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

How can raising awareness about this heartbreaking situation contribute to advocating for stronger protection of the unborn and preventing future acts of infanticide
Hildren whose lives were tragically cut short, and to advocate for stronger protection of the unborn in our nation.”
The coalition’s plea comes after news broke that the Washington, D.C., medical examiner’s office is planning to dispose of the bodies of five babies who were found in a residential property. The infants’ remains were discovered after police responded to a complaint about a foul odor emanating from the premises. While the exact circumstances surrounding the deaths are still under investigation, the coalition argues that these babies may have been victims of infanticide.
It is an undeniable tragedy that any child’s life is ended prematurely, but particularly so when it comes to infants who have not had the chance to experience the world and all its wonders. These innocent souls deserve proper respect and justice. The coalition believes that discarding their bodies without conducting thorough autopsies and investigations would not only be a disservice to the lives that were lost but also hinder efforts to uncover the truth behind their deaths.
While it is crucial to respect the autonomy and jurisdiction of local medical examiner’s offices, the coalition is urging Congress to step in and ensure that these babies are not forgotten. The House of Representatives has the power to intervene and demand that the bodies be preserved until autopsies and investigations are thoroughly conducted. This action would not only honor the lives of these innocent babies but also uphold the principles of justice and accountability.
Furthermore, the coalition is calling on Members of Congress to use their platform to raise awareness about this heartbreaking situation. It is crucial for these elected officials to lend their voices and speak out against the injustice and potential crimes that may have been committed. By doing so, they can advocate for stronger protection of the unborn and highlight the importance of valuing and cherishing every life, no matter how young or vulnerable.
This ongoing case serves as a solemn reminder that the fight for the rights of the unborn is far from over. It demonstrates the need for continued vigilance and advocacy to ensure that innocent lives are protected and that those responsible for the destruction of these lives are held accountable.
In a nation that values the principles of justice, compassion, and the sanctity of life, it is crucial that we recognize the significance of these five babies and the potential tragedy they represent. By demanding proper autopsies and investigations, and by amplifying their plight through congressional intervention and advocacy, we can strive to prevent future acts of infanticide and safeguard the lives of the most vulnerable among us.
It is our collective responsibility, as a society, to ensure that these innocent babies are not forgotten and that their lives are not in vain. Let us join together in urging Congress to take swift action to save these babies’ bodies from destruction. Only through decisive action can we strive toward a future where every life is cherished and protected, from conception to natural death.
