More than 20 people were shot during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade. As of Wednesday afternoon, one death had been confirmed.
Kansas City Missouri Police Chief Stacey Graves announced that of the 21 shooting victims, eight are currently suffering life-threatening injuries. During the press conference, it was also confirmed that nine of the patients being treated for gun wounds are minors.
Three individuals are currently in custody. A video circulating online showed bystanders tackling what is believed to be one of the shooters. However, that piece of information has yet to be confirmed by police.
“We are working to determine if one of the three are the one that was in that video, where fans assisted police,” Police Chief Graves said.
