According to authorities, the tragic shooting that took place during the ​Kansas City Chiefs’ ⁣Super Bowl celebration parade was the result of a heated argument between several individuals.

The ‌shooting ⁢occurred on Wednesday outside of‌ Union Station. Officials have ruled out any form of domestic terrorism and believe it was a personal dispute among individuals in the area, rather ⁣than a planned attack.

Police​ have detained three individuals, including two juveniles, in connection ‌with the incident.

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves stated that no charges have been filed yet, as the investigation is still ongoing.

“We have not charged them ⁢yet; this is still under investigation,” Graves said. “We do have 24 hours until we have to ⁣either file charges or release them. We are working closely with the Jackson⁢ County prosecutor’s office⁣ to ⁣present ​the most ⁣successful case for prosecution.”

Specialists from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ⁣(ATF) are currently analyzing bullets recovered ‌from the crime scene. ​

In​ addition, ATF investigators are examining the guns found at the scene to determine if any‍ bullets or shell casings recovered‌ do not match the unique profile of the ​weapons found, which could indicate the presence‌ of additional suspects.

Tragically, ⁣one person was⁣ killed in the shooting. The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Lisa⁤ Lopez-Galvan, a radio DJ from the Kansas City area. Further details about her death have not been released by the police.

The news of ⁢her passing was ‍shared ‌by her employer,⁣ KKFI radio 90.1 FM.

“It is with ‌sincere sadness ⁢and an extremely heavy and broken heart that we let our community know that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez, host of Taste‌ of Tejano lost her life,” the station shared on Facebook.

More than half of the 20+ people who were shot​ were ‌under the age of 16. The victims’ ages range from 8 to 47 years‍ old, according to Chief Graves.

Among those taken to the⁣ hospital, eight patients are in critical condition, seven are in serious condition, and six have minor injuries.
