Biden: Trump or Haley, I’m unfazed

President Joe Biden

In an engaging statement ⁣on ⁣Tuesday, President Joe Biden revealed that he has no ⁤preference⁤ between the two leading Republican candidates vying to challenge him‍ in the⁤ 2024 general ‌election.

When asked if he would rather go head-to-head with former President Donald Trump or Nikki Haley,⁢ Biden ⁢nonchalantly replied, “Oh, I don’t care.”

Biden and Trump are both seeking a second term, which could ⁤potentially lead to a rematch of the‌ 2020 election in November. On the other hand, Haley, a former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to ⁢the United Nations during the Trump administration, is campaigning for her first term in the White House.

In December, Biden confided in donors that he was “not sure” if he would ⁣be running for re-election if Trump wasn’t in the race. He even suggested that there were “probably ⁣50” other Democrats who could take on Trump‍ instead.

These remarks ⁢from the president came as ⁤he was leaving the White ⁣House to embark on a fundraising⁣ tour in ⁣California.

During his departure, a ⁣reporter asked Biden ⁢if his⁢ trip was a “plan B”⁣ and⁤ if California Governor Gavin Newsom needed to ⁢be ‍prepared for the upcoming election. Biden‌ playfully responded, “Are you ready?” and upon receiving an affirmative‌ answer, he said, “I’m looking at you.”

Instead of directly addressing the question, Biden shifted the conversation to the expected announcement of new sanctions against Russia on Friday.

With low approval ratings and ⁣concerns about his age (81), Biden’s ability ‍to lead effectively in a second term has been the subject ‌of⁣ debate. Meanwhile, Trump and ‍ Haley have been ⁣actively campaigning in South Carolina, where⁤ the GOP primary is scheduled for February 24.

After contests in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and the Virgin Islands, Trump has secured 63 delegates, ⁢while Haley has 17. To secure the nomination, a candidate needs‌ 1,215 delegates.

While Biden is the clear⁤ frontrunner for the Democratic Party’s nomination, ⁣he still faces some long-shot challenges, including from Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN). ⁤Additionally, Robert F. Kennedy is running as an independent candidate ‌after breaking⁣ ties with the Democratic Party ⁣over their election ⁤process.

How does the White House plan to ensure that‍ the‌ sanctions are substantial and meaningful?

White House Teases Major Sanctions Package Against Russia ⁤in Response to Navalny’s Death”. He stated, “We’re ‍going to be announcing substantial and meaningful measures in response⁢ to the tragic events that have taken place⁣ in Russia.”

While ‌Biden’s response may have been evasive, it reflects his confidence ⁢and
