A shocking United Nations report released on Monday has provided “clear and convincing” evidence of Hamas terrorists engaging in heinous acts of sexual violence, including gang rape and genital mutilation, during their attack on Israel on October 7th.
The report, authored by Pramila Patten, the U.N. special representative on sexual violence in conflict, states that there are reasonable grounds to believe that multiple incidents of sexual violence occurred, with victims being raped and/or gang-raped before being killed. After meticulously reviewing 50 hours of video footage, 5,000 photographs, 34 interviews, and other evidence, the U.N. team concluded that sexual violence, including rape, sexualized torture, and cruel treatment, had been inflicted upon the hostages.
Despite initial denials from critics of Israel, including a podcast producer for Barack and Michelle Obama and a Los Angeles Times reporter, the U.N. report corroborates Israel’s longstanding allegations against Hamas. This confirmation aligns with a New York Times investigation conducted in late December, which uncovered evidence of “rape, mutilation, and extreme brutality against women” carried out by Palestinian militants during their invasion of Israel.
