— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) March 6, 2024 Musk’s comments come after it was reported that he had met with former President Donald Trump on Sunday. Unnamed sources said Trump was seeking new donors, and wealthy Republican donors were in attendance with Musk in Palm Beach, Florida.
The world’s second-richest man squashed any speculation that he may contribute to the former president or the current president, Joe Biden, on Wednesday with his social media post.
Before the 2022 midterm elections, Musk encouraged his followers to vote for Republicans and said he would not be voting for Biden but remained unclear about his support for Trump.
Musk and Trump have a contentious history. The former president said in 2022 that Musk made “driverless cars that crash” and “rocketships to nowhere.”
The tech entrepreneur reportedly said last year that choosing between Biden and Trump in 2024 would be “definitely a difficult choice.”
