Exclusive: Jordan Demands CISA Disclose Documents on Alleged Collaboration with Pennsylvania to Suppress Election-Related Speech
Crucial Documents on Government Censorship Summoned by Judiciary Chairman: In a bold move, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan has reached out to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Administration (CISA) — dubbed the “nerve center” of government censorship — to demand the release of documents concerning CISA’s controversial collaboration with Pennsylvania. This partnership reportedly aims at targeting what it deems as misinformation.
The Controversial Partnership
With the spotlight on election integrity, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s initiative to join forces with CISA and the DHS to safeguard electoral processes has sparked scrutiny. This alliance promises to shield voters from intimidation and to disseminate reliable election-related information.
Questionable ‘Intelligence’ Sharing
The joining of hands has the Pennsylvania State Department elaborating plans to exchange ‘intelligence’ with various government agencies, yet the specifics remain ambiguous, leaving many to ponder the implications for free speech and privacy.
Jordan has put a timeline on DHS, expecting insightful details about this alliance by April 3, signifying the gravity of the request.
The ongoing subpoena from the Judiciary Committee has broadened its scope, specifically including any documents relevant to the partnership between CISA and the state of Pennsylvania. The intent is to understand executive efforts that may impinge on the lawful expression of Americans online, especially with the crucial 2024 elections looming.
In a narrative that could reshape public discourse on government overreach, “The reporting about a partnership between CISA and the Pennsylvania Election Threats Task Force reinforces concerns that CISA is again partnering with third parties in a way that will censor or chill Americans’ speech,” Jordan noted.
The alarm is heightened considering the Supreme Court’s view that First Amendment protections peak with regard to ‘core political speech,’ as emphasized in Jordan’s correspondence.

Defining Misinformation and ’Malinformation’
Shapiro’s promises to ‘combat misinformation’ are seen under a different light when CISA, notoriously accused by congressional Republicans of federal censorship, has been known to sanction true statements as ‘misinformation’ or ‘malinformation’ if they are deemed harmful or manipulated out of context.
True Facts or Censored Speech?
Such instances include revelations that CISA had forewarned against potential risks with unsupervised mail-in voting, but went on to flag social media posts raising similar concerns as disinformation for Big Tech to suppress.
This practice extended to CISA’s partnership with Deloitte, highlighting social media trends, and even included flagging a tweet from former President Donald Trump regarding mail-in ballot discrepancies.
