Biden’s March fundraising hits $90 million, with $192 million in reserve
President Joe Biden’s campaign recently reported a substantial fundraising achievement from last month. Following a successful major fundraiser, Biden proudly announced a $90 million intake for March, bringing his total to $187 million for the first quarter and leaving him with $192 million on hand for the second quarter. The funds are vital for building a strong campaign strategy targeting key voters nationwide.
President Joe Biden brought in a massive fundraising haul last month, his campaign announced Saturday, after he held a major fundraiser that brought in more than a quarter of the cash.
Biden touted a $90 million intake for the month of March, which means he wraps the first quarter with $187 million and enters the second quarter with $192 million in cash on hand.
“The money we are raising is historic, and it’s going to the critical work of building a winning operation focused solely on the voters who will decide this election, offices across the country, staff in our battleground states, and a paid media program meeting voters where they are,” Biden’s campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement. “It’s a stark contrast to Trump’s cash-strapped operation that is funneling the limited and billionaire-reliant funds it has to pay off his various legal fees.”
The Biden campaign claimed the money came from the flashy New York fundraiser and grassroots donations, where more than 1.6 million people have donated to the campaign so far. The New York fundraiser, which featured appearances from former Presidents Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama, brought in $26 million alone.
The increase in funds has given the campaign the finances to open more than 100 offices nationwide, and launch a $30 million ad buy that will air in swing states.

The fundraising numbers are higher than the $66 million former President Donald Trump raised in March. Trump and the Republican National Committee finished the month with a combined $93 million in cash. However, Trump is expected to raise approximately $33 million at a fundraiser on Saturday, counting toward April’s haul.
Trump also has another fundraiser scheduled in Pennsylvania next week.
