Anti-Israel protesters took things a step further in New York City, dragging an American flag down the sidewalk while fellow protesters stepped on it and at least one shouted at others to “stomp on that s***!”

The video, posted to X by Blake Habyan, was captioned: “Happening Now: Protesters At Columbia University Drag American Flag Across The Streets Of NYC: ‘Stomp on that sh*t!,’ says a protester. The agenda to destabilize America is in full swing.”

WATCH:

The video shows the person dragging the flag over a sidewalk sign that reads “FREE PALESTINE” — and while no faces are shown, one of the people walking through the frame appears to be wearing a keffiyeh.

“Stomp on that s***, stomp on that s***!” one person shouts as the flag is dragged by, and several people can be seen stepping on it.

“Imagine stomping on a flag of the country you want to pay your student loans off,” Travis Media Group posted in response.

“These are the people that want the govt to cancel their student loans so that everyone else has to pay for them,” Wall Street Silver agreed.

Pro-Palestinian protesters elsewhere also showed similar contempt for the American flag, but at least in some cases, they got pushback. At University of North Carolina’s Chapel Hill campus, a small group of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity brothers stood guard as protesters attempted to replace an American flag with a Palestinian flag.

“When the flag was raised once again, the greek (sic) community began singing the National anthem. As the Chancellor left, the quad erupted into chaos as protestors began removing the flag once again, preparing to destroy it,” UNC student Guillermo Estrada said. “My fraternity brother and others ran over to hold it up, in order for it not to touch the ground. People began throwing water bottles at us, rocks, sticks, calling us profane names. We stood for an hour defending the flag so many fight to protect.”
