“She has great trust in the system and the fact that these jurors gave their time and listened to that evidence very attentively, as you know, that‘s to be commended and respected. But it could have gone either way and she understood that and I think she’s glad she testified. … It would have been like a half-eaten sandwich if the story never came out,” Brewster said.
Daniels’s husband, Barrett Blade, said earlier that the verdict is a “weight off her shoulders.”
Trump’s lawyers plan to appeal the verdict, and the former president is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Juan Merchan on July 11, four days before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
