In former President Donald Trump’s first rally since the ruling in his hush money trial, some of his supporters suffered heat exhaustion amid scorching hot temperatures in Phoenix.

At least 11 people were seen suffering from heat exhaustion in the 102-degree weather, Phoenix fire officials told AZFamily News.

Turning Point, a conservative youth group, invited Trump to speak at a Phoenix town hall. Trump started speaking around 5 p.m. Eastern.

Led by Charlie Kirk, the group has garnered the support of many young people for Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement by hosting conservative events and campaign efforts.

Arizona is a critical state in the 2024 elections, both in the presidential race and in the Senate contest between Republican Kari Lake and Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ). Lake, a former TV news anchor, lost the gubernatorial race in 2022.

Trump’s Southwest trip will also include multiple private fundraisers and a rally scheduled for Sunday in Nevada, a state he narrowly lost in 2020.
