The Instagram video, which has received over 2,000 likes as of writing, purports to show a man interrupting Jean-Pierre during an appearance on “The View.” The clip opens with Jean-Pierre discussing gas prices when a man dressed in a suit and tie appears to interrupt her.
The man tells Jean-Pierre she said “a lot of nonsense” accompanied by “persuasive hand gestures” to make herself seem “credible.” The man’s comment was made in response to Jean-Pierre claiming the U.S. was in an “economic tailspin” when Biden took office in January 2021.
The video is digitally edited and was originally shared by social media user @DamonImani, who is known for creating satirical content. Imani posted the digitally edited video clip to his Instagram account on December 7, 2023.
Likewise, the original video of the segment does not feature anyone interrupting Jean-Pierre.
