President Joe Biden said that he couldn’t think of a single thing former President Donald Trump would do well if he’s elected.
Speaking to Complex, a medical company known for its pop culture experience, Biden gave his thoughts on Trump and young people in America in a wide-ranging interview recorded the day before the attempted assassination of Trump on Saturday. Interviewer Speedy Morman told Biden that to show viewers the necessity of coexisting, he would like to know what the president believes Trump would do well if he returns to the White House.
After sitting in silence for several seconds, Biden said he couldn’t think of anything.
“I’m serious. Think of, think what his — what his objective is. It is totally anti-democratic,” he said. “He says that he wants to be a dictator on day one. He means it. He says he will not recognize the outcome of the next election.”
The president then went on to denounce the Jan. 6 riot, claiming Trump encouraged his supporters to riot.
“And now he says if he loses, there’ll be a bloodbath? Name me a president in American history that has said anything like that,” he said, whispering. “One, in all of American history.”
Biden also made a bid for the youth vote, among whom he has declined in polling significantly since 2020. When Morman asked the president what he would say to people who have their minds made up on voting for Trump, Biden directed his answer specifically at people new to voting.
“Lots of luck in your senior year,” Biden joked after a long pause.
“Come on, look,” Biden continued. “What has he done for the youth of America? What has he done? He says he’s elected, he’s going to get rid of my ability, the ability to forgive student debt. What’s he done for education?”
