Biden used extreme rhetoric within 48 hours

Biden’s lies are not only baseless accusations but also fear-mongering and divisive. Accusing Republicans of wanting to deny freedom, cut social programs, and harm millions of Americans is not only untrue but also dangerous rhetoric that only serves to further divide the country.

After calling for unity and a more civil discourse in politics, Biden has once again resorted to extreme rhetoric and baseless accusations against his political opponents. This type of behavior only serves to further polarize the ‍country and erode trust in our political institutions.

It is up to voters to hold politicians accountable for their words and actions and demand a more civil and respectful political discourse. ⁣The future of our democracy depends⁣ on it.

President Joe Biden couldn’t even last 48 hours without using extreme rhetoric against former President Donald Trump, after having called on Sunday night for the nation to “lower the temperature in our politics” after Trump survived an assassination attempt.

Speaking at the NAACP convention in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Biden used his traditional playbook of slandering Republicans.

“They will do everything — undo everything the NAACP stands for, but now they’re trying to deny it. They’re lying about their Project 2025. They want to deny you freedom, the freedom of the vote, have your vote counted,” Biden said, completely lying.

“They’d impose a nationwide ban on abortion. … They want to prosecute political enemies. They want to cut Social Security and Medicare, rip away protection for millions of pre-existing conditions for 400 million people … risking people’s lives, costing the government more money. … They would … give the very wealthy a big corporate — corporations a new tax cut,” Biden continued.

All Biden really did this time was stop short of comparing Trump to Hitler — which he’s done in the past.

The president’s remarks came just days after he addressed the nation on Sunday and called for Americans to “lower the temperature in our politics and to remember, while we may disagree, we are not enemies.”

“You know, the political rhetoric in this country has gotten very heated,” Biden continued. “It’s time to cool it down. And we all have a responsibility to do that.”

Apparently the “time to cool it down” lasted approximately 48 hours, and Biden — much like the Secret Service director — refuses to take any actual “responsibility” for guarding against assassination attempts on Trump.

In fact, to account for his divisive and inflammatory rhetoric, Biden told the crowd on Tuesday that “just because we must lower the temperature in our politics as it relates to violence doesn’t mean we should stop telling the truth,” according to the Associated Press. But repeatedly lying about the Republican Party platform, or Project 2025, in an effort to scare Americans into voting for Democrats creates the exact type of hostile political environment that culminated with an assassination attempt.

So why say those things?

As my colleague Eddie Scarry explained it, Biden “spent the past three years calling Donald Trump the imminent death to America.” Biden didn’t abandon that rhetoric on Tuesday because Democrats are dependent on this election being a referendum on Trump, rather than Biden, in order to win.
