Former first lady Michelle Obama is set to speak at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Tuesday night.

Obama, a popular figure within the Democratic Party and beyond, will speak before Democratic Party delegates on the second night of the convention, a DNC source confirmed to the Washington Examiner. The same night the former first lady takes the stage, her husband, former President Barack Obama, will also address the convention.

Michelle Obama has addressed the DNC at each meeting since 2008, when her husband, Barack, was first nominated as the party’s pick for president. The two Obamas will take to the stage in support of Vice President Kamala Harris’s bid for president less than a month after they endorsed her in a video release by the Harris campaign.

“I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl Kamala: I am proud of you. This is going to be historic,” Michelle Obama said to Harris in the taped phone call.

The former first lady will join a cavalcade of speakers scheduled to take the stage in Chicago this week.

President Joe Biden is set to speak on Monday, while former President Bill Clinton will speak on Wednesday. First lady Jill Biden and former State Secretary Hillary Clinton will also speak on Monday, and second gentleman Doug Emhoff is expected to speak Tuesday.

Harris’s running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), will speak on Wednesday evening, and Harris will accept the party’s nomination on Thursday night.

The DNC will take place from Monday through Thursday, with most speeches occurring in the evening. Anti-Israel protesters are expected to take to the streets of Chicago as the convention takes place.
