Quentin Tarantino says Harris won’t talk to press because ‘it’s about f***ing winning’ – Washington Examiner
In a recent discussion on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino defended Vice President Kamala Harris’s decision to limit press interactions during her presidential campaign. Tarantino emphasized that the Democratic Party is often underestimated for prioritizing election victories, stating, “sometimes it’s just about f***ing winning.” He expressed that while he intends to vote for Harris, it’s essential for her to effectively communicate and not “f*** s*** up” when she eventually addresses the press. Maher added that Harris’s avoidance of the media could be seen as more disrespectful than former President Trump’s negative remarks about the press, suggesting it conveys a sense of indifference toward the media’s role. The conversation highlighted the strategic approach to campaigning and the importance of public engagement in politics.
Quentin Tarantino says Harris won’t talk to press because ‘it’s about f***ing winning’
Acclaimed film director Quentin Tarantino argued the Democratic Party does not get enough credit for prioritizing winning elections as “sometimes it’s just about f***ing winning.”
Tarantino made his profanity-filled comments during a discussion with late-night host Bill Maher, who criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for avoiding the press as she is running for president. Maher, who claimed to be a voter who is politically “in the middle,” argued he is the type of voter Harris needs to win over this November as these voters are going to determine the election between her and former President Donald Trump.
“What most people don’t give the Democrats enough credit for, but we give the Republicans credit for, it’s, like, ‘No, sometimes it’s just about f***ing winning, and it doesn’t matter how we look at this moment. It’s about f***ing winning,’” Tarantino said on Maher’s Club Random podcast. “It’s about f***ing winning! It’s a mad f***ing dash, and she is running, and she’s not stopping to stumble.”
Tarantino added that he is planning to vote for Harris regardless of what she says in any interview she gives. Despite this, he advised her not to “f*** s*** up” when she eventually does sit down for an interview.
Maher also discussed Harris’s dodging of the press with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during Friday’s episode of his television show, Real Time, during which he argued her avoidance is “more insulting” than Trump calling the press “the enemy of the people.” The late-night host said that Harris choosing not to talk with the press is her saying that she does not need the press.
Both Collins and Maher have stated they would love to interview Harris ahead of the election, though Maher said he was not “going to hold my breath.” Other people who have offered to interview Harris include billionaire and X owner Elon Musk and sports journalist Stephen A. Smith.
Harris’s campaign has stated she will conduct at least one press interview by Saturday.
