Putin Says The Kremlin Wants Kamala To Win The 2024 Election
In a recent panel discussion at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed support for U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris in her presidential campaign. This endorsement arose after Joe Biden stepped out of the race, as Putin mentioned that Biden had advised his supporters to back Harris. He praised her contagious laughter, suggesting it indicates her well-being, and acknowledged that unlike Donald Trump, who imposed extensive sanctions on Russia, Harris might adopt a less aggressive economic stance. Putin’s remarks have raised eyebrows, particularly among U.S. media and political critics who have previously accused Trump of having ties to Russia. This situation highlights the complex dynamics of international politics and the strategies each candidate might embrace regarding U.S.-Russia relations.
Vice President Kamala Harris received the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin in her bid for the White House on Thursday, putting to bed questions over which U.S. presidential candidate the Kremlin is rooting for this November.
The seeming endorsement came during a panel discussion at the annual Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia. When asked about America’s upcoming election, Putin said Joe Biden was originally Moscow’s “favorite” but that the Democrat president’s departure from the race has prompted the Kremlin to throw its support behind Harris.
“[Biden] recommended that all of his supporters support Harris, so we will as well,” Putin reportedly said.
The Russian dictator cited Harris’ infamous cackle, claiming, “She laughs so contagiously that it shows that everything is fine with her,” according to The Moscow Times.
Putin separately noted that his opposition to Donald Trump’s White House bid stems from the former Republican president’s tough economic policies against Russia.
“Trump has imposed as many sanctions on Russia as any president has ever imposed before, and if Harris is doing well, perhaps she will refrain from such actions,” he said.
Putin’s remarks come days after a Kremlin spokesman claimed Moscow views Harris and the Democrats as “more predictable” than Trump, echoing the Russian leader’s praise of Biden’s predictability earlier this year.
Hardest hit by Putin’s apparent endorsement are members of America’s corrupt media, who spent years pushing the baseless lie that Trump colluded with the Kremlin to steal the 2016 election.
Like chickens running around with their heads cut off, these so-called “journalists” peddled countless disinformation that Trump was secretly a Russian asset, despite there being zero evidence to support such a conspiracy theory. Of course, their operation to undermine the will of American voters wouldn’t have been made possible without help from their allies in federal intel agencies, who weaponized a truthless dossier bought and paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign to launch a baseless investigation into Trump’s 2016 campaign and subsequently hamstring his administration.
A May 2023 report by Special Counsel John Durham confirmed the Obama administration did not possess “any actual evidence of [Trump-Russia] collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane Investigation.”
These findings haven’t stopped regime-approved media hack-tivists from attempting to further the lie that Trump is buddy-buddy with Putin, however. As The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway noted earlier this year, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough ludicrously claimed there is a “secret and nefarious Russian plot” underway to help Trump win this November.
