With a month to go before debuting her memoir, former first lady Melania Trump said on Thursday that her driving goal was to fact-check the lies told about her.
In a dramatic video posted on her X account, Trump said she had been the subject of “misrepresentation” since her husband’s run for president and that now was the time to tell the “truth” about her life, experiences, and their relationship.

“Writing this memoir has been a deeply personal and reflective journey for me. As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts. I believe it is important to share my perspective, the truth,” she said in the video done in black and white.
Skyhorse Publishing plans to release the 256-page Melania on Oct. 8. Preorder prices start at $40 and jump to $150 for a signed version.
