Actor Zachary Levi called former President Donald Trump the best choice voters have ahead of the 2024 election, citing how Trump has been backed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr

Levi explained that he grew up in a Christian conservative household with parents who evolved from “Kennedy Democrats” to “Reagan Republicans,” and he was raised to have “a healthy level of distrust for the government.” He added that he believed Kennedy was the type of presidential candidate he was looking for. Kennedy suspended his presidential campaign and endorsed Trump last month.

“And so I stand with Bobby, and I stand with Tulsi, and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump,” Levi said at a political event he was moderating in Dearborn, Michigan. “Because I do believe that of the two choices that we have, and we only have two, Donald Trump, President Trump, is the man that can get us there, and he’s going to get us there because he’s going to have the backing and the support and the wisdom and the knowledge and the fight that exists in Robert Kennedy Jr. and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.”

Kennedy and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard then joined Levi onstage for a live discussion, during which the actor said that poeple are being “inundated every single day with poison,” both by the food they purchase and the media they consume. He added voters who support Vice President Kamala Harris are “being lied to,” and encouraged the event’s attendees to reach out and engage in debate with these voters without getting “baited into their attacks.”

Levi’s comments on engaging in healthy debate received praise from former Star Wars actress Gina Carano, who shared footage of his speech on X. Carano was fired from her role in The Mandalorian Disney+ series shortly after she shared a post on social media stating that Jews in the Holocaust were beaten up simply for their religious beliefs, and questioned how this was “any different from hating someone for their political views.”

Levi is best known for his role in the TV series Chuck. He is also known for starring in the film Shazam! and voicing Flynn Rider in Disney’s Tangled.

Shortly after endorsing Trump last month, Kennedy previewed what his role in a hypothetical second Trump presidency would look like, which included repurposing “the $42 billion budget” of the National Institutes of Health and finding the root causes of chronic diseases. Kennedy also starred in an ad voicing his support for Trump, in which he said he wants to “clean up” the United States’s various health agencies that have become “sock puppets of the industries they’re supposed to regulate.”
