Israeli forces say strikes on Lebanon imminent – Washington Examiner
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced imminent strikes on Lebanon, urging residents of Beirut and surrounding areas to evacuate ahead of the counterattacks. This warning follows a surge in projectile attacks from Lebanon towards northern Israel, with IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari stating that dozens of projectiles have been launched in the past 24 hours. The IDF plans to issue advance evacuation warnings for locations in Lebanon believed to be financing Hezbollah’s terrorist activities. This situation escalates ongoing tensions in the region.

The Israel Defense Forces warned Sunday that strikes on Lebanon are coming and told people in Beirut and other locations to evacuate ahead of the counterattacks.
“In the past 24 hours, dozens of projectiles have been fired at northern Israel,” IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a statement posted to X on Sunday. “In the next minutes, we will issue an advance evacuation warning to residents of Beirut and other areas in Lebanon to evacuate locations being used to finance Hezbollah’s terror activities.”

Israel’s strikes in the Gaza Strip killed at least 87 people from Saturday into Sunday.
Hezbollah fired more than 170 rockets into Israel earlier Sunday and served as the basis for the IDF’s forthcoming counterstrike.
The offensive comes after Israel killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar last week. The war has taken a more aggressive turn over the past month after Israel deployed ground troops into Lebanon.
The United States has pushed Israel to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza since taking down the Hamas leader.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the civilian casualties in Lebanon have been “far too high.”
