The Keystone State is one of the most hotly contested states in next week’s election, and it has already become the subject of lawsuits and investigations before the votes have been counted.

A week after Lancaster County officials found suspected fraudulent voter registration applications, another county in Pennsylvania opened an investigation into suspected fraudulent voter registration forms. Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso announced earlier this week that the county is investigating 30 voter registration forms with irregularities.

SWING-STATE BALLOT LAWSUITS COULD SHAPE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL RACE

“Last week, following a regular review of Voter Registration/Mail in Ballot Request forms received in its office, the Monroe County Board of Elections identified approximately 30 irregular forms. Those forms were segregated, and the matter referred to the Monroe County District Attorney for investigation,” Mancuso said in a post.

“Since then the Office of District Attorney has been investigating the referral by the Monroe County Board of Elections. Several of the Voter Registration Applications and Mail in Ballot Request forms have been found to be fraudulent as they were not authorized by the persons named as applicants,” he added.

Mancuso said the forms were turned in by Field and Media Corps, an Arizona-based company that works in Lancaster County.

Pennsylvania has also been in the headlines over Bucks County turning people away who were waiting in line for an on-demand mail-in ballot.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign sued the county for turning voters away and requested that the form of early voting be extended. A state judge ruled in favor of Trump’s campaign, extending the deadline to 5 p.m. Friday in the key swing county.

Trump, whose campaign lawsuits had nearly unanimously failed in 2020, celebrated the victory and has been vocal about potential fraud in the state throughout the week leading up to Election Day.

Pennsylvania voted for Trump in 2016 but was one of the key flips for President Joe Biden in his 2020 victory over the former president. The Cook Political Report has rated the state as a “toss up.”
