Tucker Carlson contends elites are ‘collapsing’ over possible Trump victory – Washington Examiner
Tucker Carlson recently expressed his views on the potential implications of a Donald Trump victory in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. He posited that various groups, which he referred to collectively as the “coalition” opposing Trump, would see their influence wane if Trump were to reclaim the White House.
Carlson identified three main components of this coalition. The first consists of bureaucratic entities in the U.S. that are concerned about the transparency Trump might bring. He suggested that if Trump were to utilize his declassification powers, certain officials could face serious legal consequences due to alleged mismanagement or misuse of government funds—particularly related to expenditures in areas like foreign aid to Ukraine.
The second group includes individuals and businesses reliant on the current government’s framework, who may feel financially threatened by Trump’s proposed changes to the political landscape.
Carlson highlighted a demographic he described as the “upper middle class,” referring to those in non-essential jobs who are fearful of their professional relevance diminishing in light of advancements like artificial intelligence. He characterized this group as experiencing “status anxiety” due to the perceived instability of their positions and the impact that Trump’s win might have.
Carlson concluded that if Trump were victorious, it would be considered a “miracle” and a significant turning point in American politics, with far-reaching implications for those invested in the status quo.

Tucker Carlson assessed that there are various “components” in the coalition opposed to former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid, which would see their power disappear should Trump return to the White House next year.
Carlson explained that the first part of this coalition is “the bureaucracies” that control the United States, which fear the “disclosure” that Trump would shine a light on as president. The commentator also suggested that an audit could be conducted on how the U.S. is spending its money overseas, such as the billions of dollars given to Ukraine in its war against Russia.
“And so if Trump has declassification power, some of them risk going to jail, and they know that,” Carlson said on Real America’s Voice’s War Room. “That’s the first part.”

Another component in the coalition opposed to Trump is the “business” component, as there are some who are “totally dependent” on the current state of the government. Carlson explained that those affected by Trump’s plans to shake up the government are “really vested” in the election due to financial reasons.
The final component, according to Carlson, is a part of the “upper middle class” who work jobs in the economy that are non-essential. Carlson argued that people who work these jobs “leech off the system already in place” and are “threatened” by any potential change.
“And they feel deep social anxiety, status anxiety,” Carlson said. “I know these people, you do too you’ve lived around them, I have as well. And they understand that their world is collapsing; it’s all going away. It’s all about to be revealed as unnecessary, AI will reveal that their jobs are just unnecessary, and that includes lawyers and some physicians, too.”
Should Trump win the 2024 election, Carlson contended that such a victory would be “a miracle” and a “historic event.”
Carlson joined Trump in Glendale, Arizona, for a live discussion on varying topics, including illegal immigration, his term as president, and his personal dislike for former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney. All of the event’s sales were donated toward hurricane relief efforts.
With Election Day set for Tuesday, the former president is spending his last day on the campaign trail by attending rallies in swing states, two of which will be held in Pennsylvania. On Monday morning, Trump debuted a new ad promoting how his love for the nation has been consistent since the 1980s, and how he aims to be remembered “as somebody that’s contributed to the United States.”
