Ana Navarro recommends Biden pardon Hunter – Washington Examiner

Ana Navarro, a host on *The View*, has suggested that President Joe Biden consider pardoning his son, Hunter Biden, as a response to criticism from fellow Democrats regarding ⁢his performance. This recommendation comes amidst discussions‍ about the Democratic Party’s recent electoral losses and the blame placed on Biden for not withdrawing from the 2024 race earlier. Navarro pointed out the inconclusive nature of whether an earlier exit might have changed the election results. She argued that since Biden is⁢ still in office for another ‌two and a half months,⁣ he might as well grant a pardon to Hunter, especially⁢ in light of recent pardons of convicted felons by other political figures, like ⁣former ⁣President Donald Trump.

Ana Navarro recommends Biden pardon Hunter in response to Democrats ‘talking smack’

The View host Ana Navarro suggested that President Joe Biden pardon his son, Hunter Biden, to get back at his former Democratic colleagues for abandoning him.

Navarro’s comments come amid many within the Democratic Party pointing fingers for Vice President Kamala Harris’s loss last week. Her co-hosts took particular issue with Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who gave an interview after the election proclaiming that the election results might have been different if Biden had dropped his 2024 reelection bid earlier.

“We will never know if the result would have been different had Biden stepped off earlier,” Navarro said. “What we do know is Biden is in there for the next 2 1/2 months. This is what I’ll tell Joe. Joe, since they’re talking smack about you anyways, you know what? Maybe pardon Hunter. Pardon Hunter because basically America just pardoned a criminal who was convicted of felonies.”

Navarro pointed to President-elect Donald Trump pardoning Charles Kushner, the father of his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Charles Kushner pleaded guilty to 16 counts of assisting in the filing of false tax returns, one count of retaliating against a cooperating witness, and one count of making false statements to the Federal Election Commission in 2004. The pardon came after Trump lost the 2020 election. According to Navarro, the president-elect is likely to pardon the Jan. 6, 2021, rioters.

Previously, the talk show host implied that Hunter Biden was an example of children “who are not qualified to do anything [and are] getting great jobs based on their father’s name.” She also pitied him for being the target of the “Republican conspiracy machine.”

Hunter Biden was found guilty on three gun-related charges over the summer, though his sentencing date has yet to be set in that matter. The president’s son is set to be sentenced on Dec. 17 after pleading guilty to federal tax charges, and he is facing a maximum sentence of nearly 20 years in prison.

While both sentences won’t be handed down until next month, Joe Biden promised not to pardon his son. Trump will take office on Jan. 20, 2025, leaving plenty of time for the president to wield his power in his son’s favor.
