RFK Jr. shares a McDonald’s meal with Trump – Washington Examiner
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was recently spotted sharing a McDonald’s meal with President-elect Donald Trump during a trip to New York City, the first they had taken together since Trump nominated Kennedy for the Health and Human Services Secretary position. The unusual pairing included Trump’s son, Don Jr., who documented the moment with a photo on social media. Also present were Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. Interestingly, despite Kennedy’s history of criticizing McDonald’s for its cooking practices, he seemed at ease in this casual setting. Don Jr. humorously captioned the photo, “Make America Healthy Again starts TOMORROW,” signaling a playful tone regarding their fast food choice.
RFK Jr. shares a McDonald’s meal with Trump
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stooped down to President-elect Donald Trump‘s level Saturday when he ate a McDonald’s meal with him while traveling.
The two were in New York City together for the first time since Trump won the November election and nominated Kennedy as his Health and Human Services Secretary. As they were traveling, Trump’s son, Don Jr., captured a photo of them on a plane. Joining them was Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) with the fast food in front of them.
“Make America Healthy Again starts TOMORROW,” Don Jr. captioned the photo.
Kennedy previously railed against McDonald’s for frying its foods in seed oils. While he has claimed to not be against fast food, he expressed his wish that the establishment restaurant would return to frying their foods in animal fats. Still, he acknowledged that it is often the only option when traveling as Trump does.
“The stuff that he eats is really, like, bad,” Kennedy said of Trump. “Campaign food is always bad, but the food that goes onto that airplane is, like, just poison. You have a choice between — you don’t have the choice. You’re either given KFC or Big Macs. That’s, like, when you’re lucky, and then the rest of the stuff I consider kind of inedible.”
McDonald’s began using all vegetable oils in 1990. At that point, it had used beef tallow for the first 60 years of its operation.
Trump, Kennedy, and the others were all traveling for the UFC 309 fight at Madison Square Garden Saturday. They entered the arena together to a round of applause before they took their seats octagon side.
