President-elect Donald Trump has received an honor indicative of his particular love for soda as his inauguration approaches: his own inaugural Diet Coke bottle.

Chairman and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company James Quincey offered the bottle to Trump on Tuesday night, with the label reading “The Inauguration of the President of the United States” with “Donald J. Trump” and the date of “January 20, 2025” below.

“Tonight, President Trump received the first ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke bottle from the Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company, James Quincey,” Trump deputy communications director Margo Martin posted on X.

Trump is well known for having had a “Diet Coke button” in the Oval Office during his presidency, and the famous button is set to return. He was reported to drink around a dozen Diet Cokes a day in 2018, though it is unknown if he maintains that habit.

A box next to the commemorative bottle contains a paper that reads: “Founded 126 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, The Coca-Cola Company takes great pride in producing hundreds of brands that people enjoy. Along with our 60+ independent bottling partners, the Coca-Cola system generates $58+ billion in U.S. economic activity annually and supports more than 860,000 jobs in the United States.”

“We’re proud to continue our decades-long tradition of celebrating the U.S. presidential inauguration with a commemorative [bottle],” it says.

The Coca-Cola executive was among several business leaders to serve in Trump’s Great American Economic Revival Industry Groups in 2020.

Quincey joins a long line of top company executives who have appealed to Trump in the lead-up to his inauguration, including Amazon Executive Chairman Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, and Apple CEO Tim Cook.
