Scott Presler calls on The View host to wear MAGA hat over Hamas hostage deal
Scott Presler, a conservative activist known for his involvement in Donald Trump’s election campaign, has called on Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of “The View,” to fulfill a promise she made last December. Griffin had stated that she would wear a MAGA hat for a day on the show if Trump successfully secured the release of hostages held by Hamas. In her December 10 appearance, she expressed her intention to publicly thank Trump if he achieved that goal. Presler highlighted her promise on social media, urging her to honor her word regarding the MAGA hat.
Scott Presler calls on The View host to keep promise to wear MAGA hat over Hamas hostage deal
Scott Presler, a conservative activist who played a critical role in President-elect Donald Trump‘s election win in battleground Pennsylvania, called on The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin to keep a promise she made in December to “wear a MAGA hat” if the incoming president were to get Hamas to release hostages.
“If he does good — if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on the show and say, ‘Thank you for doing it,’” Griffin said on the Dec. 10 episode of the ABC show.
Dear @Alyssafarah,
You said on The View that “if he [President Trump] does good
— if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for 1 day on this show
& say thank you for doing it.”
We look forward to the safe return of the hostages.

President Joe Biden and Trump both claimed credit for Israel and Hamas agreeing to a ceasefire deal in Gaza on Wednesday.
“It is the result not only of the extreme pressure that Hamas has been under and the changed regional equation after a ceasefire in Lebanon and weakening of Iran — but also of dogged and painstaking American diplomacy,” Biden stated on Wednesday.
The incoming president also took credit for his work on effecting the deal.
“This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies,” Trump said on social media. “I am thrilled American and Israeli hostages will be returning home to be reunited with their families and loved ones.”
State Department spokesman Matt Miller described the Trump transition team as having been “absolutely critical in getting this deal over the line.”
Last week, Trump warned during a press conference that if the hostages were “not back by the time I get in office, all hell is gonna break out.”
“There’s plenty of credit to go around,” White House national security communications adviser John Kirby said in a television interview on Wednesday.
Presler called out Farah Griffin on Wednesday afternoon about her promise last month.
“Dear @Alyssafarah, You said on The View that ‘if he [President Trump] does good — if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for 1 day on this show & say thank you for doing it,’” he said in an X post quoting her own words.
“We look forward to the safe return of the hostages,” he closed his social media post.
