Not Tired Of Losing, The Left Doubles Down On Insanity

The article discusses the extreme reactions of some‍ individuals, particularly a Michigan state ‌representative named Laurie Pohutsky, to the political climate under former President Trump.Pohutsky, fearing potential changes to reproductive rights under Trump’s management,‌ publicly shared that she ‍underwent elective sterilization, equating extreme actions to a perceived imminent threat to abortion rights, ‌which are constitutionally protected in ‍Michigan. This reflects a broader narrative of “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” suggesting ⁣irrationality in the left’s⁣ response‍ to Trump’s presidency.

The piece critiques the Democratic Party for ⁣failing to learn from recent electoral ‌losses, arguing that they are doubling down on their ‌far-left approaches. It highlights concerns about government waste and inefficiency, notably referencing an initiative called DOGE aimed at improving government‍ accountability, which some⁤ on⁣ the left criticize.‍ Despite protests against such initiatives, polling shows ‌that ⁤many Americans support Trump’s agenda, which includes securing‌ the border and reducing⁣ government ⁤size, indicating a divide between the views⁢ of some political elites and the general populace.

The⁢ article concludes with a statement from Republican Senator Eric⁤ Schmitt, emphasizing that current ⁢government reforms are just the beginning and foreshadowing a more⁣ meaningful ‌confrontation with what he terms ⁢”permanent Washington.” the article portrays‍ Trump’s initiatives positively while criticizing the left’s perceived obsession with thwarting him at⁣ any cost.

Nothing says Trump Derangement Syndrome like removing your reproductive organs because you fear the 47th president’s executive orders.

Michigan state Rep. Laurie Pohutsky, of child-bearing age, recently told a crowd of protesters that she underwent elective surgery because she worries President Donald Trump could take away her right to murder an unwanted, unborn child — even though abortion is constitutionally protected and then some in the leftist-run Great Lakes State.

“Pretty much all of these executive orders have come straight out of Project 2025, and that same document outlines a process for limiting access to contraception,” Pohutsky, 36, said, according to the federal government-funded Associated Press.

“After Trump’s election, physicians reported a rise in women seeking both long-term birth control and permanent sterilizations,” the AP reported.

Talk about your twofer of insanity and defeatism. The message from the abortion-loving left apparently is, President Trump is such an existential threat to “reproductive rights” that we will remove our ability to reproduce. We’ll show that Trump. If we can’t abort a child, we won’t ever have children.

Nutty? Yes. The floundering left in America today? Absolutely.

Pohutsky told the AP that she has received threats following her comments, and that she doesn’t “fully understand the level of animosity that people have about this.” While her personal decision — that she made very public for very political reasons — shouldn’t be the subject of threats, it’s absolutely worthy of derision.

Learn to Code

You would think Democrats would have learned something from the drubbing they took in November’s election, that their far-left tilt over the past decade-plus in America hit a tipping point, an exodus back to reason. But having lost its way, the modern Democrat Party is doubling down on the bridge-too-far failures that brought them here.

Take the left’s flailing fear-mongering over DOGE — the Department of Government Efficiency — for example. As Elon Musk and crew expose hundreds of billions of dollars in waste, fraud and abuse, the left is rallying around waste, fraud, and abuse in government.

On Friday, government trough-feeding Politico Magazine published a ballsy story headlined, “Trump’s Cuts Devastate Washington.” The sob story, written by senior columnist Michael Schaffer, audaciously likens Swamp City to Detroit after the Motor City faced the realities of global competition — wholly endorsed, by the way, by the globalists in and around K Street. The comparison between Detroit, a city built on the private sector’s automobile industry, and D.C., a bubble built on political grifters and government graft, is rich.

“The prospect of mass federal layoffs — and financial cutoffs that have already displaced hundreds of contractors — has introduced an altogether novel element to a city built on government stability: economic paranoia,” the column cries.

Yesim Sayin, executive director of the D.C. Policy Center, a think tank committed to building the swamp city’s economy, lamented the “paranoia” invading the inner sanctum of government job-dependent households.

“My daughter is a high school senior, and like other high school seniors, when she’s home, she’s spending her entire time FaceTiming her friends,” Sayin told the publication. “There are two topics of conversation. One is, ‘Which school did you hear from?’ The other is, ‘Do your parents still have a job?’ It is really tough to hear it. The anxiety, it permeates.”

Yes, a lot of Americans outside of the traditionally sheltered government sector know what job anxiety is all about, particularly over the past four years when historic government spending was driving inflation up and companies out of business.

Besides, to borrow from presidential candidate Joe Biden’s advice to economically threatened coal workers in late 2019, displaced government employees and contractors and lobbyists that make up the Swamp economy can always learn to code

Biden riffing on how Obama put him in charge of judging the “jobs of the future” suggests re-training miners as coders.

“Anybody who can go down 3000 feet in a mine can sure as hell learn to program as well.”

This sort of “just transition” stuff was murder on Clinton in 2016…

A Big Show

As The Federalist and other news outlets not pimping for Big Government have reported in recent days, the absolute disregard for the taxpayer through wasteful and abusive spending at agencies like the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) borders on  criminal.

Left-wing nut and Squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar recently decried the Trump administration’s move to dismantle the agency, scolding that she and her family were beneficiaries of USAID. The Minnesota leftist fled her native war-torn Somalia and ultimately became a U.S. citizen, bringing her loathing of her adopted country with her — and then to Congress. Thanks, USAID. Omar’s critics have said there may be no better argument for getting rid of USAID.

Maryland Democrats made a big show Monday of protesting outside the Social Security Administration (SSA) headquarters in Baltimore County. Led by hypocrites like Sen. Chris Van Hollen, they insist DOGE officials shouldn’t have access to government records showing how much the federal government is bilking taxpayers, as if unelected government bureaucrats haven’t long held the keys to the accounts.

Americans should ask themselves, what is it these unrighteously indignant big-government apologists have to hide in a Social Security Administration which, according to its own inspector general, soaked the American taxpayer for nearly $73 billion in improper payments, mostly overpayments, between fiscal years 2015 and 2022? What do they have to protect? The left’s corporate media allies promoting the liberal rage have made many millions of dollars off government agencies purchasing subscriptions in return for loyal reporting of the Swamp and Deep State.

But the same Americans who voted against the corruption and abuse of business as usual in Washington, D.C. aren’t fooled by the left’s desperate attempt to take down DOGE. They know the same people who brought us the Russia collusion hoax and the Hunter Biden laptop lie and the “disinformation” censorship army have a stake in keeping truth in spending well hidden.

With Trump

Despite the whining from the weakened left, the president is doing exactly what he campaigned on, securing the border, dealing with the illegal immigration invasion over the past four years, removing leftist identity politics from the federal government, and exposing and trimming the fat from the same.

And Trump has much of America on his side.

Early polling shows Americans are behind Trump’s opening days of his second term.

“Many say he’s doing more than they expected — and of those who say this, most like what they see,” CBS News reported on its own poll, released Sunday.

Trump’s job approval rating in the CBS News Poll conducted by YouGov was at 53 percent, his disapproval number at 47 percent. A strong majority (59%) support his program to deport illegal aliens and sending U.S. troops to the border (64%). And a majority believe Musk and DOGE should have at least some influence over government spending.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll late last month found that a strong majority (61%) of U.S. adults support Trump’s plan to downsize the government.

‘Tip of the Iceberg’

Trump’s biggest fiscal warriors in Congress say leftists haven’t seen nothing yet.

“Buckle up. This is the tip of the iceberg, and I’m here for it,” said Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., in an interview with The Federalist. “What we have seen over the past several decades now is a leviathan that could never have been contemplated by the Founders.”

He added that “permanent Washington” is terrified of the idea that Americans are learning about all of the ridiculous programs being generously funded with their money.

That’s why the response has been so hateful and visceral from the cabal of cronies desperately trying to keep the grift machine intact.

“We finally have a president that wants to take it on and is not afraid to go do it,” Schmitt said. “We have to have the resilience and the grit because the Swamp is going to fight back, but there’s no question that we are starting to see the benefits of that.”

Trump’s happy warriors sound like they welcome the fight to bring sanity back to government.

“Find a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,” Federal Communications Commission chairman Brendan Carr responded to a Daily Beast X post claiming that he’s been boasting to friends that he’s “having the time of his life” holding the Pravda press accountable.
