Rudy Giuliani satisfies $148 million judgment in defamation case

President Donald Trump’s former lawyer Rudy Giuliani fully satisfied his $148 million judgment in the defamation case with two Georgia election workers he falsely said were involved in stealing the 2020 election.

Per the settlement, Giuliani is committed to not defaming Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss further, bringing an end to his allegations against the two for more than five years. A jury found Giuliani liable for defamation in 2023, but the attorney continued to make allegations against Freeman and Moss and had been held in contempt twice since January.

Giuliani was ordered to give up his prized sports memorabilia, furniture, jewelry, and other valuables to pay the workers. However, by settling the case, he was able to negotiate to keep his condo in Florida, a 10-room apartment on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, a vintage Mercedes-Benz convertible, World Series rings from when he was mayor of New York, and a signed Joe DiMaggio jersey.

“This resolution does not involve an admission of liability or wrongdoing by any of the Parties,” Giuliani said at the time of the settlement last month.

As a result of this case, Giuliani lost his law license in New York and Washington, D.C., along with his radio show. He has since started his own Rudy Giuliani Show on X, with his latest episode on Monday filmed in Rome, Italy.

Giuliani also saw the lawsuit from Hunter Biden dropped after Biden alleged he illegally hacked into his computer data.
