Lara Trump chose right in picking Fox News over a bid to be Florida’s latest senator.

The former Republican National Committee chairwoman and daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump won the weekend news ratings with her new Saturday night show, My View with Lara Trump.

Viewer data from Nielsen showed her news show was the most popular on cable with 2,422,000 viewers, capping Fox’s ratings win over CNN and MSNBC. It probably didn’t hurt that she used her connections to score top administration guests Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Attorney General Pam Bondi.

To drive home her success, Fox noted that Trump’s numbers soared over ESPN’s featured NBA and college basketball games and was the most watched hour on a Saturday night since the assassination attempt on her father-in-law last summer.

Many of the show’s reviewers were positive and highlighted her mix of serious policy with insider stories, such as when Bondi said she arrived at Justice to find photos of former President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris still hanging.

“Somebody didn’t tell them there was a new president,” Trump joked.

Also over the weekend, One Nation with Brian Kilmeade premiered in its new timeslot on Sunday at 10 PM and nabbed 1,739,000 viewers.

And Mark Levin’s Life, Liberty & Levin continued to rout his competition, drawing 1,787,000 viewers on Saturday and 1,803,000 on Sunday.

All three also dominated the key demographic of viewers, those aged 25-54.

Fox also said that its weekday and business shows beat the competition. Both CNN and MSNBC have seen fading ratings since Trump was elected, and each is desperately trying to recover with staffing changes.
